I disagree that we need to be testing all of the dead, but an EMT has no knowledge of what is done with the bodies after they leave the ambulance.

Already it is starting to sink in with families of the dead. As one woman said regarding her dead husband who followed trump's advice, "But the Commander in Chief said it was okay..."

    Neither did Trump: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/a...olve_its_pandemic_response_office_142683.html

Bunk, Sleepy Joe criticized Trump for the China travel restriction, Dr. Fauci said if that hadn't happened we'd be in much more trouble.

Kneejerk denialism does not alter factually documented REALITY one iota.

That blog by a rightwing shill for your criminal IMPOTUS has ZERO CREDIBILITY.

New York state recorded 731 new coronavirus deaths, marking its biggest single-day jump, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday.

The state’s death toll since the beginning of the outbreak last month grew to 5,489.

The alarming surge in deaths comes even as new hospital admissions have dropped on average over several days, a possible harbinger of the outbreak finally leveling off. Cuomo said the death tally is a “lagging indicator” that reflects the loss of critically ill people hospitalized earlier.

“That’s 731 people who we lost. Behind every one of those numbers is an individual. There’s a family, there’s a mother, there’s a father, there’s a sister, there’s a brother. So a lot of pain again today for many New Yorkers,” Cuomo said at a briefing at the state Capitol.

This is the worst week of COVID-19 so far. whether it better next week remains to be seen.

Do any of believe it will get better next week?

Yes, new cases and hospitalizations continue to decrease in some of our hot spot areas like New York and Louisiana. That's what we want to see. The deaths will continue and as you posted above but eventually they will decrease as well. We still have a ways to go but things are looking better.

True, current deaths are a result of conditions weeks ago, maybe even before lockdowns.

Obesity, type II diabetes, or smoking (sometimes all three  ) appear to be present in almost all deaths under 60.

The federal government still has needed supplies that have not been distributed.

And, when it DOES allow supplies to be distributed Trump does so by giving those items to commercial entities that then put them up for bid!! Thus states are still left to bid against each other - with contracts often ignored even after being finalized when higher bidders show up.

Trump killed Obama's team that was working on response. There is no remaining vestige of a plan, so making claims about that plan is ridiculous. Buying stockpiles of equipment requires congressional action, for example. And, today we see that some of the crucial elements of a plan do not involve stockpiles - they involve use of the Defense Production Act, efficient allocation and supply lines to need etc.

You can't blame Obama for not buying more ventilators when we have NO idea if we have enough ventilators, as its each state for themselves, with each attempting to meet their projected peak demands - the most inefficient allocation strategy POSSIBLE.

For example, Portland, OR recently sent 300 ventilators to NYC. By having a plan for marshallin our equipment, we will need far less equipment to be produced.

And, it's obviously FAR cheaper, as these machines cost about $30K each. What Portland gave NY was worth about $9,000,000 - unless vents have been bid up even higher. Plus, they took 0 time to manufacture!!

Our total lack of leadership and planning is stupendously damaging to America. We are out of control.

    Sorry righties. :(
But after all the BS about Obama and his 12,000 deaths in a year I couldn't resist.
