looks like the Confederates are losing again

this naming and putting statues up happened decades later and was during jim crow times

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Confederate_monuments_and_memorials

"Most of these were put up either during the Jim Crow era or during the Civil Rights Movement, times of increased racial tension.[note 1] These two periods also coincided with the 50th and 100th anniversaries of the Civil War.[7][8]"

Communists too, but only Marxist-Leninists, who are living on a submarine off the CA coast and abducting movie stars. Leave the Marxists alone, they're all at least 80 and none of them have been off the Junior College Campus since they impeached Reagan.

U.S. Grant on Lee surrendering at Appomattox:

"What General Lee's feelings were I do not know. As he was a man of much dignity, with an impassible face, it was impossible to say whether he felt inwardly glad that the end had finally come, or felt sad over the result, and was too manly to show it. Whatever his feelings, they were entirely concealed from my observation; but my own feelings, which had been quite jubilant on the receipt of his letter, were sad and depressed. I felt like anything rather than rejoicing at the downfall of a foe who had fought so long and valiantly, and had suffered so much for a cause, though that cause was, I believe, one of the worst for which a people ever fought, and one for which there was the least excuse. I do not question, however, the sincerity of the great mass of those who were opposed to us."

Those who pulled down the statues should be arrested, fined, and then have the money go to put up a bronze plaque on which this quote is inscribed. It's so characteristic of Grant and descriptive of Lee.

I surely hope they aren't going to blow up Stone Mountain like the Taliban did in the Bamiyan Valley.

I think they only hat the authority that put (and keeps) the country in the miserable state it is in. This is the main issue that few people understand but it is the "divide and rule" method of government and it is going according to plan. In addition to government doing exactly as it pleases (without the cumbersome need for Democratic principles) it also means that half the population blames the other half for everything they dislike while corrupt & dirty politicians and businessmen are dancing all the way to the bank.

There must first be a push before there can be pushback.

A push cannot be characterized as 'pushback'. To attempt to do so is a distortion of reality.

The leftist nutjobs are definitely pushing those, who are not insane, into a corner. They must be pushed back against.

    Exactly.

    True.

    Stop exaggerating.

No. Sorry, but you're missing the forest for the trees. The U.S. government has pushed its population ever closer into a corner. THAT is the "push". "Pushing back" is what the citizens are doing ... those who have the guts to do it.

You talk about "leftists" as though they bear the burden of causing trouble for an otherwise blissful existence. You fail to see that "leftist" (your term, not mine) and "rightists" (the term used by those who disagree with you) are all "pushing back" one way or another.

To put it simply you either ride it out and hope against hope that things will get better (by the mercy of a corrupt leadership or Divine intervention) ... or .... by "pushing back" in order to compel government into implementing real Democracy.

Let me count the ways ...... Shall I start with one and see if we agree before carrying on to the next one?

I'm not familiar with Wilson, and their guns definitely are pricey ($3,650 for a 1911??), but I saw something rather disconcerting on their website:

"Weights shown are close approximations. Due to slight variations in all parts and/or custom option deviations, we cannot guarantee the weight to be 100% specific on any firearm."

I can certainly understand how custom options would affect the weight, but it's not difficult to make stock parts which are 100% identical in weight. I used to work for a guitar manufacturer in California, and we would mill 10 guitar necks from the same piece of mahogany and the weights would be identical down to the gram.

I'd be interested to know why they can't make parts that are 100% identical...

Ive not seen that before, good question.

I have 4 of their 1911s and 1 of their ARs. Whatever the reason for the weight issue it’s not observable in their fit and finish. They are superb. :)

I want a shotgun from them as well, next on the list whenever I stop buying other crap I don’t need!

Just had a friend buy a reworked Sig 320 from them, I’ve not seen it in person but he raves about it.

If you ever want to see a tight 1911 check out Les Baer. Good Lord, they are unbelievably tight. The slide is damn near impossibly to work by hand at first. The fit on those things is something you have to experience to believe.

Must come from his auto engine work :)

There will always be a need to blow up stone mountain as long as people are equating that place where such an utter massive amount racism is appropriate that the freaking KKK was erected there.... with a place of worship of peace and spiritual growth.
