How come the left never says anything positive about blacks?

In most of the experiments carried out, it would commonly be based on an assumption based on the name (which could be false, but that doesn't really matter). Remember, discrimination is based on the perceptions and intentions of the person doing the discrimination, regardless of whether their information or assumptions are factually correct. It's obviously a difficult area to get clear information on but the clear and repeatable results from such experiments do suggest it is a decent example of the wider issue.

 

Especially since that bit of Info is specifically excluded from job apps and has been for more than forty years. Including such info on a resume almost literally screams at a perspective employer that the applicant is toting a chip on his shoulder the size of a hippo and that the applicant will likely not be a team player and will almost certainly be at some point a legal liability.

I find anyone who thinks there is a universal "the Blacks" to be a racist thinker. That's who.

Why? Because "They all think alike," is the modern version of "They all look alike."

 

Just for the record, I am not on the left by any stretch of the imagination. But to address this question, I do not have a problem with Black Pride. What I have a problem with is when the Black Pride movement is hijacked by the Black Supremacy organizations such as BLM, BAN and NAN. These organizations do not want racial equality, they want black supremacy. They are backed by the AME Churches and Southern Poverty Law Center. These organization speaks for a small minority of the African American Community, but they are the most vocal. Almost every day, I hear one of my black friends tell me that these organizations do not speak for them.

Yes, and I did not in one single post defend his use of "the blacks". In fact, my response to you could have also be directed at him, since I wrote "anyone". Stereotyping people as "the whites", "the blacks", "the Hispanics" etc. is racist. That's my opinion and I'm standing by it.

I don't understand, sorry. Black (of African origins) folk in the UK have the same names as the white folk.

I've never heard of a culture of African names in America .. other than in African migrants.

 

Yeah .. I don't understand this name thing. Why would names be THAT obvious? Everyone is English speaking, and shares a history of centuries of the same names, yes? Obviously Africans will have obviously African names .. but they're migrants.

 

Why on earth would an applicant mention their skin in a CV? That would be an automatic cull, from me ... just because it's as weird as heck.

 

Black names in America are often VERY afrocentric. Kwame Kilpatrick, for example, is the now-imprisoned former mayor of Detroit.

I know Africans who live in America, and who have such names (AND surnames), but they tell me black Americans regard their names as very exotic. Most can't even pronounce 'em

 

You shouldn't say anything about a a group of people as a whole when it comes to gender, race, religion...etc. Positive or negative. That is what we call bigotry.

 

Detroit and Toledo, Ohio blacks often have Islamic-sounding names as well. Islam is making inroads in both cities.

 

Obviously in reality types of names can vary significantly but for these experiments they will use names that are typically going to be with specific racial groupings because the whole point is to determine if that (perceived) factor alone influences decisions (which it apparently can). The problem those experiments demonstrate will be much wider in practice, including influencing face-to-face interviews, but that kind of scenario would be much harder to test the singular factor on it's own.
