The FDA is politicized. They are ignoring the full depth and range of the global data on hydroxychloroquine.

Hydroxychloroquine is used in every country in the world as a prophylactic and anti inflammatory medication for COVID, malaria, RA, lupus, ...

Agreed. Those afflicted with the condition you mention would rather see people die than advocate anything that Trump endorses. This includes the two chuckleheads on CNN who cannot tell the difference between a rhinoceros and a hippopotamus.

And that again is a failure on the part of the Trump Admin. He should have used the DPA to make it available

    22 July 2021:

    Can malaria drugs stop coronavirus?
    It's another no.

Chloroquine, and the related drug, hydroxychloroquine, may have antiviral and immune-calming properties.

The drugs were thrust into the spotlight as potential coronavirus therapies, largely because of claims made by President Trump, and because early laboratory tests showed they could inhibit the coronavirus.

However, the UK's Recovery trial found that hydroxychloroquine does not work as a treatment for Covid-19 and the WHO has stopped trialling the drug.

That was based on a paper that was retracted during peer review because it was junk science.

    WHO hydroxychloroquine trials have resumed.https://www.pharmacist.com/article/...tudy-covid-19-after-reviewing-safety-concerns

And the latest cutting-edge peer-reviewed science shows that HCQ significantly reduces COVID 19 deaths.

    Wrong. Completely different trial!

    'Not a treatment for Covid'
That is why the data from the Recovery trial is crucial. It is the first to test the drug in large numbers of people in a thorough clinical trial.

More than 11,000 patients with Covid-19 are taking part, with 1,542 patients given hydroxychloroquine.

Due to mounting controversy about the drug, the UK's drugs regulator last night asked the Oxford researchers to review their data.

The results showed 25.7% of people taking hydroxychloroquine had died after 28 days. This compared with 23.5% who were given standard hospital treatment.

"This is not a treatment for Covid," said Prof Martin Landray, part of the Recovery trial. The trial immediately stopped using the drug.

That is nothing but preliminary results of a study that has not been peer-reviewed.

The WHO has resumed trials after being duped into stopping them by junk science. A lot of that type of junk science has been bandied about by self-proclaimed so-called "scientists" who are actually political activists and TDS afflicted morons.

The latest peer-reviewed study showed that HCQ reduced COVID 19 deaths by half compared to the control group.

    Hydroxychloroquine is saving lives.

    Maaate

There are “discussions” and there are “discussions”. IF he had said “I advised Mr Trump on the research and side effects” that is different to “Look mate this **** stuff does not work but if you insist on taking it then it is you funeral not mine!”

    No citations I note

Your claim is certainly at odds with the research findings

There is science into why HCQ is effective for a good deal of people, and why it might not be effective for others. I don't know why the medical/scientific community is continuing to be insistent on a one-size, works for everyone model. In fact, it is for the best if several different medicines are proven to work, as that will decrease the load on each one.

If it was a 100% failure, that'd be one thing. But to say there's a 5% margin error, doesn't automatically mean that you'll always lose 5% more. What they should be doing next, is finding out why HCQ works in the patients that it *did* work in, and see if you can outline specific health conditions that meet the use of the drug for COVID.

Those patients who do benefit, should get it. The "why" they benefit is irrelevant outside of as I described, figuring out who to give it to.

Brand new drug patented by Gilead Sciences. afaik the company is making all it can make already, but sharing it worldwide. It would be a good idea not to allow them to ship outside the USA, that is, save Americans and let the people of other countries die.

Trump pushes new sugar pill, Trump says what do you got to lose, free Trump steak with every refill - no one should be listening to Trump or taking his medical advice

~ India has been using it with good results. Obviously the medical administration in India is interested in people - not politics .
    { Most states in U.S. are making it difficult for physicians to prescribe or pharmacists to dispense these medications. }
South Korea also has used Hydroxychloroquine combined with zinc / antibiotic successfully.
