I thought this thread was about hydroxychloroquine, not sugar pills. The only thing that Trump said that can reasonably be construed as medical advice, is his repeated warnings that you should only take hydroxychloroquine on the advice of your doctor.

It has nothing to do with steaks or sugar pills.

Trump doubles down on defense of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19

As the U.S. neared 150,000 deaths from the novel coronavirus, President Donald Trump doubled down on his defense of an unproven drug to treat COVID-19 after announcing he would invoke the Defense Production Act to spur generic drug manufacturing in response to the pandemic.

The federal government's $765 million deal with Kodak, now a pharmaceutical company, to produce ingredients for generic drugs, will enable the company to produce a quarter of all active ingredients for drugs in the U.S. in four to five years, according to administration officials.

In the ~ 70 years it has been prescribed via hundreds of millions of prescriptions there have been a total of ~ 60 deaths attributed to hydroxychloroquine. It is much safer than aspirin.
