With Missouri voters wanting expanded Medicaid, there are more and more red states turning their backs on Trump with respect to healthcare. He hasn't come through with his promised 'better plan' in four years - and missed his promised two week deadline. People are starting to wake up - slowly but surely. He may not have lost his party, but he's losing support from red states. Not looking good for him...

And now - this morning, the new State Dept IG has resigned. Things are crumbling. To be fair, they've been crumbling for a while - but the timing isn't good.

You know what's funny, Te...? Right now, even with all our differences, I'm more tempted to vote for YOU than anybody else.

Maybe I should just join the Libertarian Party and throw my vote away. I felt like a fool after I voted for Ross Perot -- twice -- but, it didn't kill me. And, maybe by deliberately throwing-in with what I know in advance will be a losing party, I can enjoy the "Schadenfreude" and laugh at both Republicans and Democrats.

The only problem with a resigned, 'Schopenhauer-esque' attitude like that is that if Democrats win, they'll INFLICT themselves and their bullshit, internationalist, 'woke' mandates on all of us. Republicans may 'rig the system', play the tax code like a piano, and favor stock markets, but they more-or-less leave ordinary citizens alone. NOT SO THE DEMOCRATS!

Now we see clearly that radical Democrats want to turn criminals into saints, tear down everything that once really was 'great' about America, create and enforce baseless myths about imaginary crap like "White Privilege", redistribute wealth (which really only means screwing the Middle-Class), and cram even more taxation down our throats to pay for their various idiocies and fantasies.

Maybe I'll write-in Vladimir Putin for president, with Xi Jinping as vice-president. After all, when you look at it objectively, those guys are, hands-down, the two SMARTEST leaders in the entire world today. As it is, they'll laugh while throwing dirt in our graves after WE'VE KILLED OURSELVES....

And now, today, Trump couldn't come up with a second term agenda - for the fourth time. At some point, why doesn't someone who understands campaigning write something for the poor old fool so he doesn't continue to look so clueless. Is it too much to ask that a candidate - an incumbent no less - have a clear answer to something so simple? How do you run with no platform?

    Today's response:
"I want to take where we left, we had the greatest economy in the history of the world, we were better than any other country, we were better than we were ever -- we -- we never had anything like it in this country.... What I want to do is take it from that point and then build it even better."

In case anyone thinks my posts have no business being in this thread, I'm predicting a massive Trump loss in November. I'm just posting my reasons as they come along....

Thanks for the compliment bad that is a sad reflection of what the parties are offering in the way of candidates, Cy!

I was Ross Perot supporter too so we have that common ground although I switched to Bubba in 96. The GOP was expecting us to vote for a FOSSIL?

Take another step back from your fears about the Dems because that is NOT going to happen. There are still far too many ESTABLISHMENT shills in Congress who will OBSTRUCT all of the Progressive policies. Take a look at how Pelosi REFUSED to embrace any of them at the beginning and only once she realized that they could challenge her seat she offered up a watered down compromise what was ACCEPTABLE to her greed obsessed Lords and Masters on Wall Street.

The Progressive agenda is far too radical to be implemented as is and that is how our nation functions. The extremists on both sides make all of the noise and those in the MIDDLE figure out what actually WORKS and puts that into place.

One thing you still have WRONG is that the GOP does NOT leave ordinary citizens alone. Quite the OPPOSITE in fact. The government of We the People is supposed to STOP us being EXPLOITED by corporations and that is done via regulations. The GOP has TRASHED those regulations thereby ALLOWING corporations to exploit us. It wad the GOP that promted the odious Contract ON American Workers and the end result was OUR jobs disappearing overseas and TWO economic CRASHES leading to massive UNEMPLOYMENT. That is NOT leave ordinary citizens alone by any means. It is more accurate to calling it SCREWING over ordinary citizens!

Yes, you have my blessing to right in Derideo Te for POTUS as long as you include PollyCy as my running mate for VP! ;)

    As of NOW:

Biden's Worst Case is 279 EV.

And he could easily get somewhere between 305-334.

The GLARING Problem with that map, is that it is totally unrealistic .

Biden WILL Carry ALL 4 of MN, WI, MI, and PA.

Which would give him at least 274 EV.

My gosh, Te, maybe we really are "The Odd Couple"... and just maybe, if Americans ever really can 'come together' and reason together, and get over all the HATE, maybe more Americans might be able to speak and think as you and I are trying to do now. It beats anything other methodology I've seen so far....

I know that you and I will never agree on everything, and neither will other Americans, either. BUT, if we can be logical, sane, objective, and fair, we surely can each find a way to take-away 'half-a-loaf' that will satisfy us all. I sincerely hope so, but it is still a LONG way out there....

[IMG]. "So, what we really want is a combo of JFK and Reagan...? Lemme think on it...." :applause:

The Founding Fathers originally awarded the VP position to whomever came 2nd in the election irrespective of party.

That is an idea that has merit because it means that there is someone in a senior position who has the role of presiding over the Senate and casting tie breaking votes.

I suspect that the FF wanted a far more collegiate political government that would compromise on solutions that were best for the Welfare of We the People.

Sadly we chose to take an ADVERSARIAL approach to politics and have suffered as a result.

We are at our best as a UNION and at our worst when DIVIDED.

I think Trump will lose worse than McGovern in 1972. Worse because McGovern didn't take the entire Democrat Party with him. Trump is going to do just that.

People are dying by the thousands and the Republicans are giving us idiotic conspiracies and arrogant dismissals to deal with it. I have never yet seen a party so completely out of touch with the people it is supposed to be governing and abysmally strait-jacketed by an abysmally stupid ideology.

2020 will see the end of Conservative Republicanism as a viable political force in this country.

Divisiveness = non Diversity. How does it unify us to put everyone into groups and then set the groups at each other's throats? We are all diverse individuals; no other distinction is real.

The poll leaves off the option that mail in ballots deliberately makes it impossible to determine the outcome, resulting in Pelosi becoming president. This has appeared to be the goal of mail in ballots from the start.

The bolded and red text is precisely why I highly encourage anybody who is an "old-school Democrat" (ie, hates socialism), a Moderate/Centrist, a Libertarian, or someone who simply doesn't like Trump to vote Republican this November... This isn't about the specific candidates anymore... This is about INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM/LIBERTY (Republicans) vs GOVERNMENT MANDATED SLAVERY (Democrats)...

If you value your freedoms and wish to be "left alone", then please don't waste your vote on a third party candidate or choose to "sit this one out"... Vote "for" Republicans (ie, AGAINST Democrats and their pro-socialism, pro-crime, pro-division, pro-hate, pro-racism/bigotry, anti-history, anti-science, anti-education, anti-freedom/liberty platform) instead.

This is the time to make a stand for our freedoms. If Democrats win in November, then we can kiss our freedoms (and the greatness of this country) goodbye... and kiss away any chance of a Republican winning ever again, since Dems wish to do away with any shred of the Constitution that is still followed and make this country into a socialist oligarchy where they are in control (and bring us down to submit us to the UN one-world government baloney)...

Biden isn't going to win WI... WI (outside of Dane and Milwaukee Counties) LOVES Trump.

I'm not sure about the "on-the-ground" status of the other three states, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump is able to hold onto MI and PA, and while MN is the most unlikely of the four, I also wouldn't be surprised if Republicans finally turned that State red this November as well, especially with all that recently went down in Minneapolis...

I have to say I've changed my mind on this one, I think Biden will now win, I always thought things would turn around with the debates but Trump blew it and Biden did much better than expected. Now he's cancelling the other debates and appointed Barrett to the SCOTUS instead of Lagoa? I just can't see how he can turn this around?
