    I'm skeptical that this is an accurate report

    Does Trump have an ego? absolutely.. but asking to have a statue of himself erected, and as a part of Mt Rushmore at that? I don't know if it's THAT bad.

    Unfortunately Trump doesn't want to be a great President. Or President at all. To many laws he needs to abide by.
    He wants to be a great dictator, starting with his refusal to leave after the 2020 election. (Should he lose.)

    And I can assure you that if he ever has his face carved in a mountain it will be in a mountain for him alone.

    No way Trump is gonna share his mug with the faces of American history.

    Dictators are selfish that way.

    No, but I think it’s funny as hell when someone believes a New York toilet paper Times article based on anonymous hearsay from a person familiar with and White House aides. Too afraid to name their sources. Hopefully this story runs and reporters receive Pulitzers just like the Russian collusion BS.

    I am also skeptical. However, if true, it isn't that surprising. It's like asking to ride in the Queen's carriage. It should be an honor bestowed, not requested.

    what i do find remarkable is that with left wing terrorist destroying major cities the NY Times felt this was a story

    For sure a dictator is a synonym for egocentric.

    There has never been a dictator who did something for the betterment of humanity. A dictator only serves his own interests without the slightest regard for other human beings.The suffering of ordinary people, like from Covid19, leaves a dictator cold. His own political survival is all that matters,
    Dictators live in a world of their own, where only their truth matters and everything else is fake news.
    And their ego is superior to anybody else. No museum or face carved into a mountain is big enough to honor the dictators self-proclaimed legacy.
    He is, after all, The Chosen One.
    No rule of law will stand in a dictators way to hold onto power. Certainly not something as annoying as an election! So the dictator cheats his way through it or wants to do away with it all together.

    There is your egocentric dictator.

    But let's just call him Trump.
