Jacob Blake was just standing around minding his own business and a police officer just shot him in the back. Out of the blue the police officer just shot him in the back like a dog. An innocent man gun downed by a police officer.

Let's write the correct storyline. On Sunday afternoon a man wanted on felony warrants for sexual assault began threatening neighbors taking the keys of one and refusing to give them back. The police were called to the scene having been advised he was a wanted criminal and being advised of his previous assaults with a lethal weapon. On their arrival the man who was threatening neighbor fought to the ground with the police and displayed a knife. The police backed off and attempted to TASER the criminal but the TASER failed. The criminal then attempt to leave and opened the door of the vehicle he was driving and appeared to be reaching for another weapon of some sort. The police ended the situation by firing on the criminal who was taken to a local hospital and is under treatment expect to live. Additional charges on the criminal pending.

It is because of these lies of omission the MSM and Democrats and Leftist are engaged that are throwing the gasoline on an already raging fire. Maybe a little truth in reporting could help stop the anarchy and brewing civil war.

 

Hire more police, then deploy them to deal with demonstrations.

Elect decent people with a spine interested in social justice. There's something amiss is this country on both sides.

Here is Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau fifty years ago talking to reporters about his crackdown after French Canadian separatists kidnapped the Quebec labor minister and a British diplomat. Seriously, watch the whole six minute video. Trudeau knew exactly what he was doing, to whom, and for what reason. They had a constitutional federal democracy, a system of government Canadians fought in WW1, WW2, and Korea to protect. Trudeau signaled clearly he intended to protect it.

Trudeau was the author of changed social values that persist in Canada to this very day. He wasn't an authoritarian like a Trump type might become. He patriated the Canadian constitution from the UK and created a Canadian bill-of-rights, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It's the first section of the Constitution Act, 1982.



Be sure to watch Trudeau and the reporter. There won't be one thing Trudeau says you won't agree with.

We should be making common cause on this issue. Trudeau got it exactly right. We want a strong government, but not one that uses the power to take away rights.
