Essentially his words are speculative and the courtroom is not going to appreciate that. The defense is going to grill and I mean absolutely grill the examiner on how specifically the restraint outweighed the effects of the drug.

It seems to me that the examiner tried to call it both ways. The function of a court is beautiful in breaking that mentality down.

No he definitely didn’t try to call it both ways, he has consistently stated that he does not believe that Floyd overdosed. Nowhere in the autopsy does he suggest that there was an overdose. The only time the possibility of an overdose was mentioned was when he was interviewed by investigators, but even then so he stated that he does not believe that it was an overdose

There are literally no medical sources who examined this case who have suggested the cause of death was an overdose. Now it is true that Floyd was under the influence, which could have been a contributing factor, however this does not mean he overdosed.

The defense doesn't need to prove that it was an overdose. They just need to introduce a plausible argument that it could be a cause or the drug might have had something to do with the death. It's about doubt, not irrefutable proof.
If anyone has to prove anything that is irrefutable it is the prosecution. They would have to prove that the fentanyl had nothing to do with Floyd's death. The onus to prove anything is on the prosecution.

You're not wrong in your assessment of what the defense needs to do to win the case, however it is worth noting that the medical examiner is not a part of the prosecution, he is simply a medical experts hired by the county to give an analysis on what the cause of death was. In short, the medical examiner's role is not to make a legal determination, it is strictly to make a medical determination

I never said the medical examiner decided anything. I really don't have a dog in this fight. I could care less whether he is found innocent or guilty.

So the autopsy reports are wrong? Here is what I read as the cause of death.

Now if you can show me the autopsy report that says, "cause of death drug use". I will read it.

Yeah pressing your knee into someone's neck while they're screaming at the top of their lungs on two lethal doses of drugs was killed by the knee to the neck.

    LoL.

It's amazing the depths people will go to in order to ignore the obvious.

Is that what you are doing? You are making the claim he died from drugs, but the ME that performed the autopsies on him are not saying that he died from drugs. Did you do an autopsy that you aren't telling us about?

Yes it released the money to him, which he claimed would only go to the family.

He's also the sole person controlling the funds.

Honestly more in the hospital post op. Maybe 20 or 30 total.

The ones in the field were mostly pills of various types, heroin was rare and before the cartels learned to synthesize fentanyl.

2 types of response with fentanyl-they either require a higher initial dose of naloxone or they need to be pulse dosed continuously which is hard to do. Heroin has a higher respiratory depression side effect.

Interestingly, some of them are not obtunded or stuperous, but hyper aroused like floyd in his video.

And yet hit them with some IN Narcan and they mellow out. I mention that because its the opposite of the classic presentation.

Why should they be enriched because a criminal caused his own death? Amazing.

Did you see his casket? And the horse drawn carriage.

The people were scammed by the floyd's multiple times.

    Yeah its shameful.

Candace Owens said recently that blacks are the only group who celebrate their criminals and make shrines to them.

It takes time for a drug to take full effect, which depends on the method which was used to get the drug into your body.
Floyd might have died on his own 20 min after the incident, but it won’t change the fact that Chauvins actions could have killed someone else with his reckless conduct.

My two issues with that-the maneuver used by Chauvin was taught to him by the city-it was even in the police regulations viewable online.

And the Mayor actively prohibited officers from getting additional training, even on their own dime.

People complain about a lack of training but when the department uses that same move in training, and prevents any new training, its on the department not the individual officer.

The move can be perfectly legal, but not for extended period of time. I don’t believe Chauvin committed murder that day, but what I saw definitely qualifies for manslaughter 2 (read MN statutes). Cops could have restricted Floyd’s legs and forced him into the back of the car instead of sitting on his neck after he was restrained.
I also think 2 rookie cops should be released and get their jobs back, as I see no element of crime in their actions. The Asian cop should be simply fired, as he was experienced and should have intervened, but no further action should be taken against him.

But yeah, Chauvin committed a crime there and he should do time for it.

Have you seen the new bodycam video of the incident?

They had already tried placing him in the police vehicle, but he became combative so as a matter of department policy they pulled him out to restrain him. That policy was because elsewhere, combative arrests have hurt themselves or in one case someone died that way.

They were waiting for an ambulance which was delayed in getting on scene.

Again that is not accurate, for one the document that you are referring to is NOT from the autopsy, secondly, it does not say what you claim it says, not even close

But if you still believe otherwise, then feel free to provide the direct quote

So why are the autopsy reports not saying his cause of death was OD of fentanyl and meth.
