If Nixon is to be given any credit it should be for extending the Civil Rights and Voting Acts to the rest of the country when they came up for review under his first term due to the sunset laws expiring. It was fun to watch 'liberal' New York, with its hatred of 'racist southerners' have to repeal its literacy test laws and Harlem' black voting percentages were no longer lower than Mississippi's. Same with California and some 18 other states, all angry at having to be forced to change their own laws. It was also fun watching all the race riots up North, over bussing and also race, more and bigger ones than the South experienced, and still happening today. All that stuff generated a lot more hate of Nixon by the very same cretins who hated LBJ. Nixon was a relative moderate with somewhat inconsistent domestic policies.

 

What 'tax cuts' did JFK actually introduce? I bet many don't really know, they just read that line somewhere and repeat without knowing any details. The '90%' rate was one nobody ever paid, for one.

there was evidence that he ordered the Watergate burglary not just that he found out about it he had prior knowledge of it. However the FBI could no longer investigate the Watergate scandal or press charges following Ford pardoning Nixon for all involvement most immediately after taking office.

However Nixon also ordered wire caps on political opponents, journalist, law enforcement, and other who didn't support him, for who were investigating him. And there is even evidence that he was having people intimidated or coerced by paid thugs

Free trade with China was always a bad idea. China has no labor protections and allows the exploitation of their people by foreign businesses. countries like that having free trade with the United States simply ibcents corrupt corporations t to outsource jobs in order to take advantage of it. Free trade should have a requirement that the countries have labor protections and wages on par or higher than the United States. We should never have free trade with any country doesn't meet a minimum standard for labor regulation.
