Yes, we understand that that's your "Orange Man mass murderer!" political spin on it. You've been screeching it for months. We heard you. Simmer down.

The reality, on the other hand, is that 200,000 COVID-caused-and-associated(because not all are COVID-caused) deaths out of a population of over 300 million is nowhere even in the ballpark of a disaster, and the economic and social consequences of locking down harder would've been a far larger disaster.

The selfishness of lockdown demands to provide a small fraction of a measure of safety to the elderly does do harm to others.

Do you deny that simple reality?

Dude - Trump has signed off on raising the National Debt more than any previous President (Obama raised the debt $8.9 trillion in eight years - Trump has raised the debt $7.4 trillion in just 4 years). That IS throwing future generations under the bus just so the stock market looks good.

And if were up to Nancy and her pork-barrel-stuffing flying monkeys, you could throw another eleventy kajillion trillion in debt up on the pile.

Go ahead and try and sell me on the financial responsibility and fiscal restraint of the Democrats, that'll be a hoot.

Never said "orange man" anything. Never called the President a "mass murderer." as a matter of fact I said "we" have not handled this well. So when one deflection doesn't work you try another.
The death record in this country is one of the worst in the world. I am surprised to see that this country with all its past successes is willing to accept that.

Reposting my comment since the previous post was deleted for rule 15. Hope I’m in compliance this time.

Please don’t go. That would make me so sad...

Both parties suck when it comes to debt. Doesn't excuse Mr. Donald for contributing to the problem.
And Trump was adding over $1 trillion a year to debt while the Republicans had control of Congress.

But it's not though. Per capita, America is not one of the worst in the world.

"Per capita" is a concept that leftists are only now discovering as India and Brazil's numbers are racking up fast.

The Democrats do indeed suck too, so don't pretend like they'll be the solution to anything debt-related if they take control of the piggy bank.

Ahh, I remember a time when conservatives on the site called the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi an epic fail on Obama's part ... now the deaths of 200,000 Americans doesn't even cause them to bat an eye ... whatever, dude.

Ask those who have lost businesses and life savings because of the lockdowns. They would have a more meaningful answer than I do.

Being semi-retired and living in Florida where there really wasn't much of a lockdown, all I suffered was terror and inconvenience.

You either don’t know what per capita means or are unfamiliar with current deaths per million residents.

The USA is at a whopping 617 per million. Tenth worst in the world.
India on the other hand is at 124.5 per million. They did show up late to the party though, so only time will tell if they handle COVID as poorly as we have.

America is going to be knocked out of the top 10 soon, and I seriously don't trust China, nor most of the 3rd-world countries, to keep an accurate count, and /or admit to it, if they do.

I know for a fact that the numbers are overinflated in America, because I work in a hospital in America, and I've seen the number-pumping with my own eyes.

Also- much of America's COVID problems relate to the fact that our borders are porous, and our citizens are fat, unhealthy slobs. Another fact I can attest to from working in an American hospital.

But yeah, let's pretend it's all the fault of the bad Orange Man's badness.

    Debt related?

Are you kidding? Republicans were driving the bus so deep in the debt hole BEFORE the virus hit that they made Dems look like spendthrifts.

Republicans only care about debt when they are NOT in power

How would you know, and why should I trust you. I have evidence to the contrary, in any case.
