If you didn’t learn from the riots in the late 1960's, AWB in the 1990's, shortages right after 911, Obama in 2008, Obama 2012, and a guaranteed Clinton win in 2016, the Chinese virus, riots, and are still short today, that is on you.
Me? I will let you guess.
The city proper Minneapolis, has become a shithole. 60 years of democrat rule.

Paranoia does funny things to people, doesn't it? I didn't go to Cabela's looking to buy another gun or more ammo as I have plenty. I was actually there for camping equipment and went by the gun area and noticed all the empty shelves. So nothing is "on me".

It was a figure of speech. It was an exaggeration to make a point. It was an over simplification of a point. OK, geez, it wasn't 100% factual. OMG give me 10 lashes with a wet noodle and then keel haul me. I didn't know we had a Philadelphia lawyer on the Forum. You must drive your spouse crazy :)

As I'm not a mind-reader I have no way of knowing whether or not someone is exaggerating or not. Luckily my wife doesn't make exaggerated sweeping generalizations :)

A little off topic but that is how it used to be here in Massachusetts until we got an anti 2nd Amendment AG. She unilaterally banned hundreds of firearms, magazines, ammo and accessories like bump stocks and flash suppressors. Gun shows are rare and if you can find one you're in and out in under an hour. The big ones here used to take up a whole weekend. I used to have a lot of military stuff and the WWII stuff it got harder and harder to find parts for. Now they're impossible to get because they can't be mailed in from out of state. Time was when the gun shows also had some amazing deals on ammo. There was this guy who had a line on ammo he would buy in bulk all over the world. He told me it was left overs from failed civil wars, revolutions, regime changes and so on. Most of the stuff I bought was dirty and corrosive but then I shot every weekend and always had to clean a bunch of firearms anyway and besides some of this stuff was a penny a round. You pop caps all afternoon for ten bucks it was a lot of fun. Yeah this AG's a piece of work, I could easily see her at one of these things like Portland or Seattle. There have been law suits against this woman from the NRA and our own Gun Owners Action League that so far have gone nowhere. This is how the left is bit by bit destroying the Constitution.

Why do you possess firearms and ammunition?

You didn't seriously ask that question, did you? In many cities under democrat ruled cities like Minneapolis, carrying a portable hole puncher is a necessary piece of attire.
Your question should have been, how many extra mags do you carry?

Totally legit question to ask. Not everyone needs to carry a gun in order to go out in public. For those who do, rock on. Carry all the guns you can.

Cool. Never heard of getting a concealed carry permit for target shooting. Can you elaborate on the logic there?

The logic is that town I live in ONLY gives out conceal carry permits. Hence, I have a conceal carry permit.

You have to have a permit to target shoot?

I can’t imagine living somewhere like that. I’m a firm believer in spare mags and ammo though. Different kinds of animals here but still not smart to be unarmed or out of ammo in my business. :)

So you have to go to a class etc. to get a carry permit to buy a handgun? That sucks. Surprised someone doesn’t sue someone.

    Educate me,
What state requires a carry permit just to purchase a handgun?

A gun license is required to purchase a handgun whether it be a Sport and Target license or a Conceal Carry license in MA. I happen to have the conceal carry license. Consider yourself educated.

Sad that citizens would give away their god given constitutional rights. Time to consider a move.

What has been given away? I told you I have a conceal carry permit. And which of the thousands of gods are you referring to?
