every election in this country, for Mayor, City Council, Sheriff, Senator, Congressman, District Attorney, Governor, is done via democratic election.

Can you post a quote from one of our founding fathers to support your claim?

No, I don't believe it can. It is part of the Constitution, it would require an Amendment.

It would only take 38 States to ratify. I think the issue is 38 States won't ratify something that would basically be mob rule.

Nope wasn't founded on majority rule. It was found on inalienable rights and in as much as possible limiting majoritarian tyranny.

Not tyranny, a guarantee against abuse. By the way you already ended it for judicial appointments. Bet you wish you hadn't.

40 senators can decide the fate of this country. That means the 20 smallest states can rule over the 30 bigger States.

That is tyranny of the minority.

It means the small country backwoods uneducated states can rule over the states with more educated large populations

No it isn't it simply means you can't willy nilly choose to screw them over. Tyranny is passing laws not preventing them from being passed. The filibuster means that laws must be passed on a broad based consensus not on the whim of a relative hand full of people.

Opinion? It's not my opinion that the founders never intended presidential elections to be a matter of "majority rules". The existence of the Electoral College is proof positive that the founders were specifically against such a thing.

You can win the popular(majority) vote(Hi, Hillary!) and still lose the presidency(Hi again, Hillary!) and that's exactly according to what the founders intended.

    Fact, not opinion.

And every Presidential election in the country is done by Electoral College election.

    What's your point?

And for the presidential election part, we are in fact a representative democracy.

    What's your point?

If you want to demolish the Electoral College because it's mean to you, just come right out and say it.

The goal should be better candidates.

Last two have been a swing and a miss.

I dont even know where to begin to describe the fallacy of this statement. Maybe do a wikipedia lookup on how the 3 branches of government function before posting again. Please?

Because of gerrymandering...even the House does not reflect the population.

The Senate certainly doesn't since Wyoming and states like it (population wise) have two Senators while California, despite have tens of millions more inhabitants, also only has two.

While of course Washington DC (with a population similar to Wyoming) has NONE of either

LOTS of other countries have precisely "a contrived system where the leader of the country can be elected by a significant minority" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minority_government

You might be surprised to learn that size of a state's population doesn't really correlate with education level, at least not the way you seem to think it does. For example, Montana, New Hampshire, Wyoming, Alaska, and Vermont have among the highest high school graduation rates. California has one of the lowest.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_educational_attainment

You might need to re-evaluate which states you consider "backwoods uneducated".

How do you figure lower population states are less educated?
