Like it or not, that is how it can happen right now. If I had my way, I would ensure POTUS never was a Member of a Party controlling either the House or the Senate. He can sit in the White House to leave only to open fetes and do whatever ceremonial stuff is needed.

I believe that @zelmo73 has amply answered this in the post directly following yours.

I guess so! Apparently Democrats have very high expectations from Republicans! :roflol:

I'm guessing that you mean that Ginsberg was so certain Hillary was going to win, that she remained on the court.

I mean, this is assuming that they control the Senate after the election - why wouldn't they wait 4 years? Is there anything in it for them to fill the seat with a conservative Trump nominee?

And I assume that you would ALSO say, it would be nice of the Democrats to live up to their own past-stated standards and agree that the Senate should consider a nominee! :roflol:

Not propaganda. I prefer to live under a government more in line with the founding fathers than one more in line with Karl Marx.

You might as well be asking for flying unicorns to be the primary mode of transportation tomorrow or that Jelly beans are our new money system.

Drop the childish and silly electoral college complaints. Its over, done. Kaput.

This has been a public service message.

Do you not believe the DNC was concerned about Ginsburg' age and health that they never approached Ginsburg about retiring from the Suppreme Court during Obama's presidency? My guess is Ginsburg feared losing relevance if she did retired, so she refused to step down.

I think that's exactly what it was. Supposedly she was begged to retire while obama was president. My guess is that the idea of the first woman president picking her successor (a woman of course) was too tempting to resist.

I never said I was anybody. It seems that you are working on being a victim. You are not a victim. Empower yourself. You matter too. Just not to me. Yay you I guess.

Or perhaps the cure is for the Senate to act quickly to confirm a justice that understands and abides by the constitution and legal precedence and does not promote their own agenda.

How can you use the acronym POTUS in the same sentence you claim the office is every American’s electee? It exposes a fundamental misunderstanding.

Making a comment did not mean @Bowerbird is "so concerned" or even "concerned." Your question (see above) begins with a fact not in evidence.

How about my question? Why do you care if an Australian comments on our abortion laws?

If we're going to learn from others' experiences, I think countries like Australia, Canada, the UK, and New Zealand may have something important to offer.

Our system may not be perfect, but popular vote is a ridiculous way to choose a president, when we are the United STATES. Our country name has meaning. It wasn't random.

200,000 people is a few more than "nobody."

Beyond concerns about the dead themselves, we should look at the impact of the virus on how people change their spending patterns. There is strong evidence the numbers of cases impact spending.

    BEA7BD46-5323-483D-9601-67B09ADA5727.jpeg

A lot of discretionary spending of higher income groups--often older people, either working or retired--is put "on hold."

No it wouldn't! You would have a hand full of heavily leftist states electing a democrat President.. A President wins the EC he or she captures the will of a country, not breeding grounds of generational Government welfare dependents living a century old promise of Democrat free stuff and a utopian society..

Trump was far more intelligent then any politician in recent history. He clearly understood the importance of state and the EC, whereas the democrats counted on campaigning is a few large states full of democrats.. This same lack of regard and importance for the heartland and smaller states is the same attention they would receive if todays leftist were to sit in office... Trump is a far more nationally inclusive President than any Democrat would/will ever be!

Statistically, Trump is right. 200,000 out of 330,000,000+ is less than a drop in the bucket.

This "show biz" approach extends to every area Senators or Representatives feel may be important to their constituents. We've moved on from the drama of televised hearings to CongressCritters creating sound bites they can disseminate through social media far more widely than than looks gained from the hearings themselves.

My bet is the Democrats "Guilted" her "Stroked" her and if they could have, wired her for life support just to get her over this election cycle.. At that point they would have forgotten all about her.. Ya the DEMS on the hill are just that ruthless and desperate as they have demonstrated over the last 3 1/2 years.. Hatred rules the demoncrats in Washington..

With the help of their news media, of course, who downplayed Ginsburg’s failing health by championing her as a tough anti-Trump woman. Never mind the fact that Gollum was literally dying right in front of our very eyes.
