The only part o the ACA was the pre-existing condition, that can be addressed with a simple discrimination law.. Addressing subsidies is easy enough. Once the mandate was eliminated it didn't really appeal to many of the young people it was designed to bone :)

what are you talking about? No member of the GOP voted or supported the law. If what you said is true, then why are the Dems whining on and on about it being removed now? What's the point of this thread?

So who would make the decisions on treatment plans under your proposed coverage?

To a certain extent yes, but not to a point where I am being forced to fork over 85% of my paycheck in taxes to fund some paint huffer's treatment. Their problem, they deal with it. Not me.

There is no savings. Whatever "savings" may have been imagined is eaten up by taxes so it would be a wash. Plus government run care is mediocre at best and there will be no more new innovations nor R&D because the profit motive is no longer there.

Insurance costs more then what singlepayer has cost. People that cant afford insurance cost you more even if you pay cash. They pass the cost to you.
it wont be 85% of your check, it will be a savings if you pay cash yourself, or have employer coverage on average.

no no no, true conservatives want every american taking care of their own damn needs.

i shouldn't provide for your needs, and you shouldnt provide for mine.

we should all be able to take care of ourselves.

thats what a TRUE Conservative believes.

How is quality of care sacrificed? Cause more people can get care? All that means is more jobs building facilities. At first it may be a slow down, till more first cares pop up.
So more money in your check, more jobs, more care...I wonder why everyone isnt doing it..Oh wait.

Healthcare is NOT an absolute right, it is a service. Always has been.

thank you for agreeing with me that Conservatives should not be buying health insurance, as it means that OTHER PEOPLE take care of their needs

even if it was a wash as you say, it covers everyone, so it would still be better

Nope. What will wind up is what the Soviet Union had, and is exactly what Liberals want. Sorry, but I will take my far superior PRIVATE insurance and you can take your SP and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

The soviet union didnt have singlepayer. They had socialized medicine. Singlepayer isnt socilized medicine. The government wont be building, or running anything.
