Facebook is changing its 'race-blind' hate speech algorithm

So FB is intentionally not automatically flagging hate speech against white American men. Instead they're going to go after posts they deem hateful which more often than not are posted by friends of the people who are allegedly offended by them. I can only see a few reasons why they'd do this:

1. FB believes white American men are emotionally strong and tough enough to shrug off the idiocy seen on FB

2. FB believes blacks, LGBTs and Muslims aren't emotionally strong and tough enough to shrug off the idiocy posted by their friends.

3. FB is just racist, plain and simple.

And what is this stuff about underrepresented groups? Democrats represent them, isn't that enough?

Finally, some of you might recall that my hobby is restoring and coloring old photos. FB deleted this photo I had colorized. When I appealed it, I had to point out this photo was one of CNN's most iconic photos of the 20th century. After a week they rescinded their deletion. Not knowing what this photo shows is telling what 25 year old liberal arts majors are learning these days, but they're allowed to monitor what other people do.

Facebook is the new star chamber. Their Orwellian pogroms fit perfectly the intellectual bankruptcy of the woke progressive set. They can have it. I log in occasionally to see picture of my friends' cats dressed up in costumes, but other than that I see little substance there.

I play World of Warcraft online and went to make a new character. I named her White Witch but the game said I couldn't use the word white because it's considered offensive.

I tried all the other color names and they work just fine. Only white is bad.

Not sure what you mean. Science and empirical research demonstrates that these groups are more often subject to prejudice, and more vulnerable.

Old white guys less so. It's a statistical thing. They're going for most likely outcome.

 

LGBT whatever is a behavior Islam is characterized by the behavior of it's followers, African American is an ethnic group made up of a whole lot of people all of whom behave in different ways. See the difference?

 

White people ruining it for everyone with all their privilege.

Imagine how great this country would be if we removed all the white people and the other races were left to run it themselves.

 

Can you think of a single thing that was done recently for the benefit of White people? We can't even say it's OK to be White without the police being called in to investigate. The people on the left must think White men can take a punch, ergo, stronger, than everyone else. If cities and colleges can teach people about the inherent racism within White people, what would the outcome be if some one tried to teach about the inherent racism in the underrepresented and marginalized groups?

 

The main question is WHY are they doing it?

 

Even Blizzard has gone insane. Can’t use the word white? This country is imploding as we speak.

 

We’d have Africa or South America. Fine historical examples of how to properly run societies...uuuuum nope.

 

The same reason LBJ transformed people who Democrats wanted to work but not vote into people who voted but didn't work. FDR accidentally dropped New Deal crumbs to blacks, but an unintended consequence of his New Deal was Democrats gaining black votes. By the time LBJ was elected Blacks started coming back home. LBJ had to act. He thought he handed the Democrat Party the black vote for 200 years. After 8 years of a one-way street, Obama getting the black vote, but giving blacks nothing in return, sentiment started turning away from Democrats. The solution was the rebirth of the racist label for the Party that freed the slaves by the party of slave owners who lynched freed slaves, segregated blacks and discriminated against them. Pretty disgusting to observe, but there is no reason for Democrats to have changed since we took away their slaves 155 years ago. It just made them angry. Trump really angered wealthy Democrats when he made it harder for them to enslave Latinos here illegally as nanny's, cooks, housekeepers, and gardeners.

The only solution for Democrats today is to silence Republicans by labeling conservative speech, like discussing success through education and hard work, as "hate speech". Shame on Republicans for allowing Democrats to brainwash their children and giving social media a free pass to slander them without recourse.

 

Democrats believe white men are superior so it is okay to be racist towards them. No joke. Thats extremely racist and dumb.

Generally Jews are viewed separately from white people. Most white nationalists are anti-Semitic. White nationalism has been dominant ideology for centuries until about 1970s. Overall, Facebook took a positive step.

As for gender -- male bashing is already common everywhere. Nothing new.

 

So its okay to be racist and sexist depending on the race and sex of the target.

Aren't progressives always the ones saying there is no such thing as race, especially not a white race? Yet they always feel the need to blame everything on race. The kind of mental pretzel logic progressives deploy to stay in lockstep with the narrative is pretty impressive.

Maybe you are just so used to seeing white shaming that anything that shows white people in a good light seems racist or nationalist to you.

 

Trumpers appear to struggle with complex issues and seeing the perspectives of people that are different. If it's not black and white and familiar they get upset, confused and stressed.

 

And it's your open mindedness and objectivity that are drivers of your ability to offer blanket judgments about millions of people, a small fraction of whom you think you've met.

You remind me of people who justified slavery based on the victim being only a fraction of a real person ,,, and more recently justified the murder of live born aborted infants because they are not people at all, their murders being examples of women's healthcare.

The humor that shouldn't be lost is that after we freed the slaves, Democrats ran away from the plantations they couldn't maintain by their own effort and huddled in northern cities like helpless children waiting for the government to take care of them.
