The cabinet reportedly is meeting, now, discussing 25.

Nothing did go wrong... where have you been? Have you been in a coma for the last 4 years?

    Who reported it?
400 corporations have asked for the immediate removal of Trump.
He clearly failed his oath of defending the Constitution.

I felt we were incompetent since 2010. I know you've said you're an independent so maybe this keeps the flame of independence glowing. Nice to see you among us indies. There's Green's, Libertarians and everything in between.

Oh, and allowing violent mob to burn down our police precincts didn’t turn us into a third world country?
I don’t approve of any of this, but you guys started it.

"You guys ...."? Moronic ****. You in the habit of blaming people who live 2,000 miles away for crimes?

The people who do a crime are the ones who do the crime.

Have you EVER seen an American president inciting violence and egging on a mob to invade Congress in an attempt to remain in power and refuse to peacefully transfer power???
By the way, that clown is the ONLY president in American history who simultaneously:
Got impeached, lost his own bid for re-election, saw his party lose the Senate and the House.
Great, seems like this worked out very well for you, huh?

Looking to the positive, there can be no excuses with a Speaker Pelosi, a Senate majority leader Schumer and a President Biden. Time for Dems to put up or shutup starting on the 21st.

Although I'm not a Democrat and I am mistrustful of any politician and under no obligation to defend the Dems, I think that the current administration and current Senate were able to set the bar so low, that it won't be very difficult for the Biden administration and the new Dem-controlled Senate to do better than their predecessors.

I thought Trump was just an experiment. It was a horrible experiment that most thought would go wrong and wrong it was. Trump was definitely far worse than I initially believed. The guy has to have a mental illness. Thank goodness it is over and the official electoral count is complete. Good luck to President Biden and VP Harris!

Yes it was the right thing to do, it was a slap in the face to progressivism and much needed. It has exposed the hypocrisy of the left and changed US politics for the better.

    Lolwut? :roflol:

Trump's Election was the Worst Assault on Domestic Tranquility since the Civil War.
Trump's Election was the Biggest Mistake in Electoral History.
    Trump is a Domestic Terrorist.

"changed US politics for the better"?

IF "better" is defined as the "gutter" and a "new low in political discourse".

I'm not sure it is truly over. The way this lunatic eggs his mob on, there may be assassination attempts against President Biden and electoral officials who refused to back down and to allow Trump to steal the election and implement a coup.

Trump will go down in History as the worst president of the United States, and the only one who:

Got impeached, got surrounded by many people who got indicted for criminal acts, lost in the same elections the White House, the House, and the Senate, botched the response to a pandemic that will have resulted in the death of at least 500,000 Americans (comparatively worse than the 1018-19 Spanish Flu given that the latter with its estimaded 600,000 deaths, occurred in an era of low hygiene and primitive science and therapeutics), and incited, based on blatant lies and evidence-free claims, a violent insurrection trying to stay in power via a coup d'état. Can't get any worse than that.

Any good things he did (such as Operation Warp Speed, standing up to China, brokering some Middle East peace agreements, having for a while a good economy although thanks to increasing deficit - and as a moderate, centrist, independent voter I did praise him for all of the above multiple times here, giving credit where credit is due) pale in comparison to his multiple blunders, shortcomings, illegal and despicable actions; while his assets did some good, his precedents have damaged the fiber of the country for decades to come.

@Reasonablerob if you do deserve the nickname you picked for yourself, that of being reasonable, you will one day look back and acknowledge that while it is true that like all presidents, Trump did some good things, the balance is terrible and his legacy is extremely negative; he left behind a country much worse than the one he inherited in 2016. "Make America Great Again"? Try "Destroy America For The First Time", a feat the Nazis, the Japanese, the Soviets tried and failed to accomplish, and one man almost got done.

One interesting aspect: the only two objections sustained to the Electoral College votes by the people's representatives in Congress, Arizona and Pennsylvania, total 31 EC votes. Biden won by 36. EVEN if these objections were factual and reasonable (of course, they weren't), Biden would still have won the election with 275 EC votes.

Sadly, with the bar set this low, they won't have to work very hard.

If Biden and the leaders of Congress can just turn down the hot rhetoric of the last four years (on both sides) then even if
Biden does nothing else, I will consider his term a success.

That would be an accomplishment. Just let Trumpism wither on the vine.

That is why he must be impeached and removed. It's not only in Republican interests at this point, it's a national security issue. We haven't had a major attempt since Reagan, I'd like to keep that streak of the safety of our congressional people and presidency/VP going.

I think it's a bit funny that you think I'm a non American after a pretty considerable posting history making it clear that I'm an American, and have been arguing on this forum that the country has been in decline for years. Hey, I'm perfectly consistent.
