Like your list . Let’s add the most under appreciated female artist of the last four plus decades and one of my favorites , Jennifer Warnes. Dan Fogelberg is a too little mentioned artist too. Let’s also include the groups..the Traveling Wilburys, Bread, the Cars, Moody Blues, The Mavericks, Allman Brothers, Crowded House and Dire Straits. Others I like are , BJ Thomas, Bob Marley, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt and Buckwheat Dural. My all time male vocalists , are Boz Scaggs and like yours, Tom Petty. Worse ? I’ll have to admit, I have none. I just eliminate those we don’t like from our storage.
And in other news... Sex Pistols singer John Lydon: 'Of course I'm voting for Trump' In an industry that's almost totally left leaning, why would Punk be somewhat immune?
Jimi Hendrix Not only could he play the guitar (understatement)... But his vocals was amazing as was his song writing. A true artist, he made covers his own too.
I played my Appetite for Destruction & Use Your Illusion CD/cassettes to death back in the day. I was obsessed with the song Estranged for a while Saw them open for Aerosmith in 88 and then on their Use Your Illusion Tour. Definitely in my personal top 10
