What can you do about the Trumpites next door?

OMG! What happens someone you don't like does you a favor? Imagine the cognitive dissonance:

 

I just wish the guy next door to me would take down his Trump flag. I received a notice from the POA reminding me to remove my Biden signs within 15 days of the election, and did so. And yet, every day I have to look at this flag:

 

This article is a great example of Poe's Law. I really can't tell if it's satire or if it's serious.

 

Not at all if it's a die-hard trumper. If you fundamentally don't respect someone and believe their views are a danger to good people everywhere, if you believe they support waging war on the Constitution, if you believe that person would gladly support a dictator who would execute people in the streets, you shouldn't care what they do with their snowplow. But I would be glad to tell him where to put it.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died fighting wars to defeat people like trump. That means a hell of a lot more than a snowplow.

I would pay them for their time and tell them to stay the hell off my property. The next time this happens I will file trespassing charges. Being a trumper, any alleged favor would be nothing more than an attempt at manipulation anyway.

 

So much for "healing and unity." Maybe you'll eventually realize that Republican voters aren't your enemy but that elites are.

 

What do you do about The Trumpers next door? You respect their rights to think, speak and believe differently from you.

 

Elites have never told me to move to another country.
Or f*** my feelings.
Or that they enjoy my suffering.

For four years while they paraded around like a cult.

Animosity should be expected & the both groups can be the enemy.

 

Well, if they trespass as they did in this column then you can legally shoot them according to many on the right. So I guess that is one option.

 

I don't know, how about saying hello? Getting to know them a just a little, you know - their kids names, their dog's name, what they do for a living etc. Maybe tell them you'll watch out for their home if they're going away somewhere, wave if you see them driving by, the usual. Just be a good neighbor. All on the understanding that they'll do the same with you.

Then don't discuss politics, because why do you have to?

 

The neighbors that got helped and can only see the political affiliation of their neighbors suck as human beings. How pathetic.

 

Al Capone funded soup kitchens.
Islamic brotherhood schools and clinics.

Signs and flags are shockingly treated differently in a lot of places. Anyway, at least you don't have to look at a Confederate battle flag the way I do from an adjoining property owner's property. Fortunately the trees block it from sight May to October. I really don't care about whether he believes on thing or the other. It just isn't a good look for the hood.

 

What can you do about the Trumpites next door?

Cancel them. That should show them.

 

Idiot around the corner from me still has his loser trump flag up, I wave at him with one finger up like I always have. He deserves that much at the very least.

 

You should fly the Fort Sumter Flag.
He probably won’t get it though as most people flying the “history not hate” treason flag have no idea of the actual history behind it.

 

Get Biden Harris campaign signs (you can usually get them for free) and put one up at the end of his driveway (within three feet of the road so you are not trespassing).

He obviously enjoys the attention

Thank them and then attempt to reciprocate. You might find that you have enough in common to establish a casual friendship.

I have very close friends who have opposing political views but our friendship is older and stronger than our political differences.

I feel that it's especially important to have a good relationship with your neighbors for many reasons.
After all, if your house is on fire, there's no law that says that they have to call the Fire Department.

How unfortunate that you view roughly half the nation as your 'enemy'.

Perhaps you should go out and see other people as individuals, some with views you may not agree with, but in this place called America, people are allowed to not see things the same way as you.

I will continue to treat the neighbors on both sides of me, who voted for Trump, with the same respect and kindness I always have.
Who one votes for should never impact any relationship.
