In fact, other than Trump's attorneys (who are not constitutional scholars), it's difficult to find any who believe he can survive the test in a criminal proceeding. However since this is actually an impeachment trial, Brandenburg doesn't even apply.

The truth is, he told is angered mob that the VP of the USA let them down. Which is a complete lie.
The VP was doing his constitutional duty.
But the angered mob didn't care.
They wanted to hang him anyway.

Cancel culture has been around since humans could do so.
In the olden days, it was called boycott.

But with technology making information at light speed. It has morphed faster. But it's always been a part of human psyche.
