Even doctors have been rapists, murderers, mass murderers, pedophiles, sadistic torturers, you get the idea; out of a million doctors there are bound to be a fair number of fools, those devoid of ethics, the bottom of the doctor-barrel in intelligence, those with a sycophantic nature, liars, and so forth. So, your excuse for Trump was that, though he had thousands & thousands of legitimate, knowledgeable, dedicated, ethical, honest doctors to choose opinions from, he ended up picking a couple of crackpot, disingenuous, warped-minded, morons? It's funny how all those that find their way, or who Trump gathers, to his circle seem to have so many things in common, incompetence and/or negligence, and lack of integrity being two of the first that come to mind.

OK, if, "MANY medical professionals," endorsed the idea that Covid-19 was no worse than the annual flu-bug (according to you)-- and this still would NOT explain why Trump told Woodward, in earlier interviews, the truth about this Coronavirus pandemic-- name four of them.

BTW, only an idiot goes to a podiatrist for prostate problems, so could you make it 4 epidemiologists, that is, experts in infectious disease, or would that be too heavy a lift?

Or would it be easier for you to explain why you feel, like those who wind up serving the Donald, the need to carry water, laden with excusing lies, for Trump?

 

Oh, yes-- winning the Presidency and control of the Senate, while maintaining control of the House of Representatives-- despite all the structural inequity Dems need to achieve parity in numbers w/ Repubs, who've been given an advantage in representation versus population, plus have gerrymandered states so aggregiously that only Republican-redistricted states have been faulted by our Supreme Court-- is a SURE sign that their ideology is in the throes of DEATH. Anyone with the least bit of political sophistication, realizes this about Americans: they vote for those for whom they have the least trust & confidence, those of whom they are the sickest, & those with whom they are the most fed-up. So it's only a matter of time, now, before that Party is relegated to extinction, or else need recast itself as a completely new creature-- much as Conservatism, former hallmark of Republican ideology, was mutated & ultimately replaced by Trumpist populism. If Biden's approval-ratings stay this high, then the final sign would be, in 2022, the Dems defying historical trends to NOT lose control of either chamber of Congress. I don't know what more PROOF anyone would require of your thesis, than that tolling death-bell.

 

The liberal horde doesn’t believe that they are in any danger. They just stole an election from a man who was drawing tens of thousands of supporters to his rallies. They think that they can up end our country in the next few months with a million poor people and dependent on them.


They have the tech giants watching our every move and if they don’t like the truth that we speak they ban us from the public square so that we can’t speak. The liberal horde is building an army of kids to spy on their own parents. They want to take guns from the people that they fear so that that people are demoralized. Harsh. I feel the opposite way you do. To me doctors who practice medicine have no incentive to say things that are to the benefit of government. Government bureaucrats with an MD degree certainly do. I believe little of what government says. I try to follow the advice of physicians to the letter. Trump spoke incorrectly to Woodward because it was the best information available to him at the time. Also, who cares what Trump said. He has never been a medical professional.

 

Liberalism has indeed died - having been sick for a very long time. Not sure what to call todays left - but the are not "liberal" and they hate Classical liberalism - and the founding principles - having lost all respect for essential liberty - sans the liberties they agree with.

The war on liberty is being waged under the guise of "Utilitarianism" - law based only on what some pundit thinks will increase happiness for the collective / "harm reduction" "If it saves one life - with no regard for individual liberty.

I would say overstating the danger of covid would be the mistake.

 

I fully agree with the sentiment and the description. But I don't agree with the conclusion. I think the radical left/liberalism is far for dead. A small dedicated powerful cadre of political activists can survive and even win without a majority of the so-called base(s). I think the jury is still out and a long way from finishing. If they move fast enough (before much can be done against it) with their path of destruction and havoc like opening borders and destroying fossil fuels, and can quickly cement their authority through things like HR1 victory might be obtainable, and sooner rather than later.
