When doctors make mistakes we don't charge them criminally. These murder charges demanded an element of intent that never existed nor was ever proven. This wasn't justice this was a jury terrified that BLM would burn their houses down.

There is nothing wrong in sending a very loud message to LEO's that the public is watching them. It's a healthy checks and balance system. The good cops will still do the job the right way while the bad ones will think twice about how they operate.

Agreed but just to clarify, this amount isn't, like your interlocutor was saying, three times the lethal amount (around 7ng/ml) and the 7 figure is for people who are not habitual users who have developed tolerance, who can tolerate much more than that. As the medical testimony demonstrated during the trial, Floyd did not die of an overdose. He died of homicide.

Blood concentrations of Fentanyl of 7ng/ml or higher have been associated with fatalities especially when multiple drugs are being used and when the individual is not tolerant. The desired blood level for Fentanyl to treat pain is 1-2ng/ml. The concentration reached for Fentanyl as an anesthetic is 10 to 20ng/ml (but of course, the person will be intubated and assisted with artificial ventilation, and that person is typically not a drug addict and has had no exposure to the drug before).

So the level in Floyd's blood was 11ng/ml. It would kill a non-tolerant person. It wouldn't necessarily kill a tolerant person.

They would absolutely be charged if they did something that was illegal in the process. What Chauvin did was against departmental policy and ignored signs he was in distressed.

Doctors absolutely get sued for stuff like this and some do go to jail or lose their license.

Cases like this are almost always appealed.

But with the medical and department against his actions it will be tough to do IMO.

In this case, yes.. Clearly you and I know the mans record, is this someone you would have liked let free once again! Never mind you made your point already.. Sad part is you are so adamant about Women's right and personal protections, it was truly shocking to see you honor one man by cheering another's "Better mans" conviction..

Forums never fail to provide both sides of peoples faces..

Exactly this. Since the jury failed to follow criminal court law, it became a social justice pariah case rather than an actual case of establishing innocence or guilt. That's why I think the judge told the jury he wanted them to reconvene afterwards. I don't think the judge expected all 3 counts to be guilty either.

Oh you heard. Please. You weren’t there and didn’t hear everything. No article can provide ever bit of testimony either.
It’s your assumption social pressure persuaded the jury to give a guilty verdict. You can’t and don’t know that as fact.

Gotta say, Minnesota put together a very good prosecution team. There is no doubt that Blackwell is a rising star in the judicial world. He is absolutely top.
This was the most level-headed, fact-filled prosecution I have seen in a while.

Why you don't think 9 minutes kneeling on his neck was not long enough. Any IDIOT watching Chauvin kneeling on Floyds neck KNEW HE WAS KILLING HIM!!!

So what is going to happen as a result? I suspect many unsavory things.

1- The case will be appealed, and the verdict over-turned. Then it may be tried in another state if anyplace can be found were a fair trial can be assured. Multiple reasons:

A- This case should never have been tried in a mob surrounded situation, but change of venue was denied. Every aspect of a kangaroo court was present, including the city agreeing to pay $25M before the trial, and politicians (especially Waters, Biden) giving strength to the mob demands in advance of a verdict.
B- Intimidation level in the community affected everyone involved, from jurors to press to judge. Jurors refused to serve out of fear for their homes and families. Impossible to have a fair trial in such conditions, and the judge would know that- but no doubt feared that granting a change of venue would put him at risk.

In the end, intimidation has won- and the public, especially the citizens of Minneapolis, as well as all in this nation, have lost.

2- I expect Minneapolis will see many police resigning, and have a very hard time hiring replacements. They may just decide to all call in sick for a few weeks to give the city time to reflect, or just quit en-masse. No rational police officer will want to work for a community that is willing to throw them under the bus as a result of mob intimidation. Yes, that will result in the people of Minneapolis being in great danger- but they are the voters, the people who control who manages that city. If they want no police, that is what they should have; the thugs will no longer fear police anyway. That scenario may well be repeated in many other cities in various degrees.

3- The mobs have just been given unlimited authority over the entire justice system in Minneapolis- they can control it with intimidation, and so they will become more demanding, more aggressive than ever. This effect won't be limited to Minneapolis, either.

4- Citizens will begin to flee Minneapolis at a greater rate than they already are. Commercial businesses will do the same. No rational person wants to live or work or operate in a business that gives power to mobs, cowers when they threaten, and a city that fails to be able to control itself. The tax base will shrink, property values will fall, and budget shortfalls will follow. Minneapolis has shot itself, and may never heal. The same scenario will be seen in other large cities with similar politics; people seeing what this kind of leadership does to a community will decide to leave theirs before the SHTF. And, they would wise to do so.

5- A new surge in gun ownership will result. Having given power to the mobs and taken power from their own police, people who had not already realized they must be prepared to defend themselves will now be convinced it could happen to them- and they will arm themselves.

Now while this is just my opinion.... I believe that a year from now, it will all be obviously true.

But ironically your attitude doesn't seem very Godly, and the jury and most of the country seem to disagree with you about George.
