Of course I do. My wife and I caught out Chinese virus n Beijing at the end of October 2019 and luckily, have survived it. Don’t tell me I don’t know where Chinese virus originated, if you’d like to, I can present a pics of our passport pages with Chinese entry stamps.

But I think, you’re simply trying to derail my thread about Virginia skrul board wanting to deny white pupils the opportunity to excel in math. Admit it.

That's the biggest difference between the Right and the Left. The Right believes in giving people the opportunity to move up if they apply themselves and do the work. The Left believes in bringing everyone down because not everyone wants to apply themselves or do any work.

That doesn't mean it came from China any more than catching it in America means it came from China - or that catching it in America means it came from America.

I think we would be mistaking a mistake if we didn't teach students as much math as they're willing to try to learn. My experience as an economics, math and computer science teacher is that most students are prepared to learn math in order to maximize their training options after high school.

I don't think most teachers would like your approach.

Public schools are one of the 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto. The National Education Association is part of that process.

I don't think parents would like this system because they lose control over the money after they choose the teacher.

I wouldn't be surprised. I think British Columbia will voluntarily vaccinate 90% of its people and 10% support for Trump is too high.

Parents have no control of the education now.
Why wouldn't parents want the power, renewable every year, to choose their own teachers and schools?

The NEA is just another lobbying organization broadly serving the interests of our entrenched corrupt bipartisan ruling political class, IOW, a collection of shallow servile twits.

OTOH, Communists are committed ideologues dedicated to crafting a revolutionary vanguard and overthrowing the government and its ruling class. Serious people - Communists.

What public schools went to individualized learning and when? I guess for academics like yourself, just focusing on kids who are quick learners makes your job easier. So sad your intellectual arrogance is allowing students to drop through the net because they don't learn the way you expect them to.

All colleges require computers for their courses and the folks who are graduating from colleges on average grew up in the computer age. We're not talking about the baby boomer age.

Yes. He presents his philosophy as "science".

Cancel Culture Comes For Dawkins. “ The New Atheists may have partly achieved their goal, but declining church attendance and religious affiliation haven’t exactly translated into more peace and rational discourse. A rising ‘woke’ orthodoxy among secularists has even targeted ‘New Atheist’ Richard Dawkins himself for excommunication — over one tweet.”

Dawkins had posed an interesting question about transgenderism.
This was declared heretical to make the observation that the radical Left might have an inconsistency here.

No rational discussion of logic prevailed, instead "heresy" was identified and he was shouted down, he made the mistake of trying to apologise, rowback and appease, efforts that were declared "inadequate" and "only added to" the horror of his original point.

One must only shout the party line, and it must be shouted enthusiastically.

VA's destruction of public education tracks well with the Left's overall destruction of education.

This is you, thinking you know more than the international investigation team knows.

In fields of science, our interaction with China has actually been surprisingly open. We have had good relations with Wuhan, for example = with the lateness of their reporting on COVID being a serious deviation, not consistent with "behavior throughout history".

You are once again attempting to twist evidence to support your own preconceptions.

We have many places in America where internet service either doesn't exist or is way too crappy to use. We have populations that do not have computers in the home.

The difference between that and what colleges do require is significant.

My daughter teaches high school in the SF South Bay area in a charter school that doesn't charge tuition, but is essentially a magnet school. During this period of internet based instruction they have had a significant number of students who do not have computer access in their home. Thats the South Bay!!

Since they are a relatively well funded school, they addressed this by giving low cost computers in order to allow the children to take part in education.

I'm not exactly sure what your point is, but let's not ignore the existence of this gap - a gap that high school is positioned to address.

You're the one who made the "throughout history" excuse for the Chinese in #572: "But, China has never been particularly forthcoming on any issue throughout history."
    Make up your mind.

YOUR argument was that you see an anomaly in "forthcomingness" that justifies your belief that they are hiding something in this case.

I'm pointing out that there really is nothing particularly anomalous like that. And, the international investigators are clearly aware of this issue.

So, you seem to think YOU hit on soemthing that the international team of investigators ignored!! Thus you claim that YOUR special knowledge overrides their findings.

You're still trying to shoehorn your own beliefs into a situation where the experts are showing no acceptance of that argument.

Now you're making no sense. I have seen no "forthcomingness" from the Chinese. The WHO's Director General shares my view.

Again, the point.is that you do NOT share HIS view.

You discredit his view and that of the whole team of international investigators based on your own prior beliefs.

His view, and that of the team is that the lab is the least likely of several possible sources. And, that further investigation of all possibilities is required.

    Is that now your view?

Good for this School Board member stepping up and speaking out. Sometimes parents have shake up the school board.

Vail School Board Flees, Parents Elect New Board, Vote To End Mask Mandate.

Hundreds of parents showed up to the Vail School Board meeting asking only that the board make masks optional.
