I feel so bad that this womans death leaves a hole Democrats love not to see filled. She has a major problem. She is not black. If she was black, protests all over America would have happened. Radio silence for the Government that brutally killed Ashli Babbitt. Her death is a good example of white privilege.
^ The only violent thug who got shot for disobeying police instructions that trumper RINOs pretend to care about, and why is that? Oh yeah, because she was a trumpist. I take it you support what she and the others did on January 6th, then, and you have no problem with someone climbing through a broken window towards a police officer in the midst of a riot and disobeying his instructions for her to stop..
I can't defend her. She was literally risking her life. She is the only one to blame for dying. None of those people should have been in the Capitol and they are lucky more people were not killed for being stupid. I agree with you on many things but not this. The cop fired in self defence or so I read. Regardless she should have never put her life at risk.
Lol…her major problem is that she believed trump’s seditious lies and was stupid enough to join a terrorist insurrection trying to overthrow the election results and install trump as a dictator. Good riddance to her. Real Americans honor the Capitol cop who was murdered by trump’s mob, not the traitors who caused his death.
It wasn’t self defense. There were other police around him. He gave no warning. There’s video available of this shooting.
White privilege emerged from his den and killer her? What weapon did he use, his skin color or his net worth?
Let's talk about white privilege: Let's assume a mob of Muslim-looking men shouting "Allah Akbar" would have tried to storm the Capitol while Congress was in session. Do you REALLY think there would have been only one shot dead?
Funny, when the criminal is not white, there's nothing possibly in the world they could have done to deserve getting shot by the police (Ma'Khia Bryant). So we can Monday Morning Quarterback the Capitol shooing just like the Ohio incident. Capitol officer should have used his taser. Capitol officer should have shot her in the pinky finger. She was unarmed! Capitol officer should have used his baton! Oh, he didn't have one? Systemic political bigotry! He should have counseled her! They should have called the social workers to de-escalate the situation! He should have tackled her with a flying scissor suplex ninja move!
Are you saying that if a black Trump supporter had been shot instead of her, we wouldn't be talking about it? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say here.
Here is part of the report from former President Trump's justice department that investigated the incident and found no grounds to prosecute the officer. Ms. Babbitt was among a mob of people that entered the Capitol building and gained access to a hallway outside “Speaker’s Lobby,” which leads to the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. At the time, the USCP was evacuating Members from the Chamber, which the mob was trying to enter from multiple doorways. USCP officers used furniture to barricade a set of glass doors separating the hallway and Speaker’s Lobby to try and stop the mob from entering the Speaker’s Lobby and the Chamber, and three officers positioned themselves between the doors and the mob. Members of the mob attempted to break through the doors by striking them and breaking the glass with their hands, flagpoles, helmets, and other objects. Eventually, the three USCP officers positioned outside the doors were forced to evacuate. As members of the mob continued to strike the glass doors, Ms. Babbitt attempted to climb through one of the doors where glass was broken out. An officer inside the Speaker’s Lobby fired one round from his service pistol, striking Ms. Babbitt in the left shoulder, causing her to fall back from the doorway and onto the floor. A USCP emergency response team, which had begun making its way into the hallway to try and subdue the mob, administered aid to Ms. Babbitt, who was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/department-justice-closes-investigation-death-ashli-babbitt
I am not aware of even one precedent for an unarmed rioter climbing through a window being shot from which to make this conclusion. I have heard your words from other leftists assuming that it would have been a bloodbath if black or brown people were the ones involved. Do you have a precedent upon which which you are making this conclusion? I cannot imagine the outrage if this had been a BLM protestor, and I question your conclusion that many more would have been shot if they had been brown. Change my mind. I am willing to listen.
That report was released on April 14 from the D.C. Us Attorneys office that is officially part of the Biden justice department.
She got what she was asking for. If someone was climbing through a window of your house, what would you do? Me personally I would wait till they were far enough in to fall forward and then shot them in the chest and head.
I thought you were on the cops kill innocent folks wagon? Evidently not. More, when it doesn't fit the narrative you enjoy that causes cities to burn, this is what we get. It just creates the confluence folks on the left seem willing to publicly decry these days. And damn anyone that doesn't fit their cause. That she was a woman, and vet, and ooops, wrong race, she receives no pity from folks on the left. And a killer cop (that is the phrase the left uses these days) doesn't even get suspended, let alone put on trial.
Change some key indicators here, and there would have been riots across the world. Make Ashli black, and cities burn. Make her a george floyd mourner and it destroys nations. And just this once, you trust the police. Got it.
A real life example makes your point even more salient. Imagine that Capitol Police had shot one of the protestors that marched through the hallways of the Capitol protesting the Kavinaugh confirmation. The entire country would be burning.
Unlike you, I made no conclusions all I did was post part of the report from the justice department and allow others to see that information. I said nothing about white or black, you did. I didn't ever say I distrusted police, you said I did. I do not want to change key indicators, you do. I just posted what is.
Hmm.. ok, to what end? If there is no other option than just the presentation of the report, why bother?
I watched your video, did not see a single person breaking down part of a barricade and trying to climb through it. Can you point out the time stamp when that took place in your video?
Evidently, it isn't "insurrection" when you are insurrecting while trying to protect your rights to infanticide.....
