Perhaps you could deny any or all of the communist traits of the Democrat Party from the OP that you don't agree with by showing or telling us how they are not communist traits. That would be a start to help erase some of your smugness.

 

Over 100 years ago when our representatives and President instituted the present day “Income Tax” which is the 2nd plank of the Communist Manifesto we have used Marxist tactics to pool wealth away from working people into the hands of rich capitalists. Show me a candidate who or a political party that promises to abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve, then you can start whining about one part or the other supporting Marxism. As of now, both parties fully support Marxist policies.

 

Democrat party is as smug as you can get.

Cleon Skousen, a former FBI employee, John Birch Society Member, and this has been pushed by Glenn Beck, Ben Carson, and other right wing morons of their caliber. In a November 2010 article in Canada's National Post, Alexander Zaitchik, author of Common Nonsense (a book critical of Glenn Beck), described Skousen as a "whack job" with "decidedly dubious theories", but what can one expect from a member of the John Birch Society, who were, in the 60s, the equivalent of the freedom caucus today, and all the idiots who attacked the capitol building on January 6. The only reason it is referenced at Marxist.org is that the clip was read into the congressional record by some Bircher in 1963. The site archives a lot of stuff, including The Wealth Of Nations, by Adam Smith, not just 'communism'.

I'm no communist nor do I support communism, at least how it manifests in the 20th century.

Trump clearly WANTED to be a dictator. He unabashedly defied and circumvented the legal rule of Congress over him and often ruled entirely by decree. Additionally, he was never reluctant in the slightest about using extralegal methods and tactics whenever it served his purpose and/or gave him more power. Had he gotten a second term I think there can be little doubt he would have overthrown entirely our system of government, turning our other two branches into rubber stamps of the Executive and corrupting our elective process beyond recognition and any usefulness whatsoever.
