Al illustration of the profound change that Trumpery has brought to the Republican Party:

Senator Romney, a devout and pious Mormon, who never needed a "fixer" to pay hush money to bimbos with whom he rutted behind the backs of trophy wives, lost the 2012 presidential election, receiving 47.8% of the popular vote.

Mitt Romney Is Booed by Members of His Own Party
    [IMG]

Reality-tv performer Trump lost in 2020, receiving 46.96% of the popular vote. (He had achieved the MAGAhat trick of losing his Party the House, Executive, and Senate in a single term, a feat no one had achieved since Herbert Hoover.)

One of the two losers graciously accepted the will of the People.

The other one whined, lied, and trashed the USA''s proud tradition of peaceful transfers of power in which Americans had taken justifiable pride since 1797.

The zanies are now even alienating Corporate America upon whom the party has been financially dependent.

If DeSantis hires a fixer and gets Gaetz to supply him with "dates", he should be a shoe-in for the 2024 nomination.

Are you acknowledging the change? With the rise of the “Biden conservatives” the current projectory the GOP is on is a dream gift to the Democrats

The GOP is now more grand than ever. The populist conservative base is taking control of the party from the bi coastal establishment elites.

In Lenin's Russia there was born a concept called democratic centralism. It essentially meant once party officials established a policy, debated behind closed doors, no public dissent was allowed from the "party line." In today's POT those who speak in truthful ways (like Cheney and Romney) about the 2020 election or the events on Jan. 6 are publicly breaking with the party line. Which appears to be to go along with the "big lie." Given a choice between repudiating Trump and maintaining their embrace of him the POT has chosen the latter. After 4 years of Trump our collective senses have been dulled but we should be shocked by the GOP's transformation in to a party organized around a cult of personality.

It is if you regard four years of unrelenting, negative independent public surveys, two impeachments, losing the House, Senate, and Executive in a single term, bloating the national debt, driving the unemployment rate up by two full percentage points, and, as the Grande Finale, a lie-induced, extremist mob attack upon the U.S.Congress as unbridled aggrandizement.

Congress bloated the national debt. Like they always do. The impeachments were jokes. Presidents often lose the house in midterms. Trump had record unemployment before COVID, which was not Trump's doing.

Almost everything in your post is complete nonsense.

That's the beauty of Congress. They spend the money, and they can pass the buck all day long and twice on Sunday.

Now that's funny corporate America has been in bed with the Democrats since WWII. The big money, big labor, big corporations and the big public sector unions ha e always spent their money on big government politicians.

Yet the Democrats lost many house seats and look to lose the midterms.

    Some gift they have.

This proves nothing. Do you think a democrat that voted in favor of the other side wouldn't get booed? They'd probably be assassinated. This stuff doesn't happen with The Borg, I mean "the left", so they don't even know what this is like.
We all know that Mitt is sour that a reality TV star did what he couldn't do
Also, if you are still posting about Trump this far into Biden's presidency, it must mean you miss him.

The new GOP is no longer grand.

I see nothing new and no political party has ever been grand. Insufferable would be a better description.

And gaining votes along the way as well. The GOP is now a multi racial working and middle class coalition made mostly of those who have theistic beliefs. We are only losing bi coastal establishment elites who are or secular in their outlook.

    Your hyper-partisan sentiments are noted.

The stark contrast between traditional conservative Republicans and the invasive RINOs of Trumpery is far too conspicuous to be dealt with by denial.

Your understandable desire that the Loser be ignored, a sentiment with which I concur, is wishful thinking. His ongoing inability to face up to the truth of his defeat, his looming legal and fiscal jeopardy, and his continuing to squeal victimhood will keep him in the news.
