I suspect if you live in the area you know about the university. I assume that is why they choose him and that school.

Bob Jarvis didn't get his degree from Nova. He got his law degree from Penn typically a top 10 school.

I can't argue with your premise here. I feel he was chosen because he was the most convenient person who agreed with the preconceptions of the reporter. But could the reporter made a little effort to find a more worthy candidate, such as someone who was admitted into the Supreme Court Bar or someone who actually argued cases before the Supreme Court. Wouldn't someone with first hand knowledge of the members of the Supreme Court or first hand knowledge of the procedures and mechanizations of the Supreme Court be a much better candidate to offer an opinion as to the value of the case? It opens up the possibility that the reporter may have tried to find a more qualified candidate to discuss the merits of the DeSantis suit but couldn't find one that shared the opinion of Bon Jarvis,

And even if we are to take Bob Jarvis at his word, and of course we are no where near that point, is the DeSantis lawsuit actually about winning? What does Florida help to gain by suing the CDC? Is the federal Government going to give Florida a huge cash settlement? Of course not. Politics is Kabuki Theater. The whole point of the lawsuit is to get the CDC policy wonks on the stand under penalty of perjury. The courts most certainly are going to allow some sort of discovery process in which the CDC is going to be asked some embarrassing questions under oath. Isn't this a way to get the CDC to be held to some degree of accountability? Isn't this about the only way that the American public are going to find out if the mask thing is simply a way to falsely feel secure? Isn't this the only way that the American public can find out the true number of Covid deaths? Isn't this about the only way to force several state governors from implementing mandatory permanent mask requirements?

And of course there is the issue of what the lawsuit will do for the political aspirations of Governor DeSantis. To me, that is what everyone should be discussing, but instead, due to lazy reporting, we are discussing a ridiculous call to authority to Bob Jarvis of the 30th Street Sharks.

Yale, from what I hear, is what some like to call a "good" school. It is a bit higher quaity than Nova Southeastern University on 30th Street.

hahahaha. Trump LITERALLY refused a national plan, and left it up to the states.

The CDC created "guidelines" and created very few "requirements".

    DeSantis is playing politics

Of course DeSantis is playing politics. Is it all that shocking that politicians engage in politics? The questions is if this gambit will pay off for DeSantis? My guess is that this will be immensly popular.

it will be popular, even when he looses it.

But then again, it is his base ;)

So, what would a loss look like for DeSantis? He isn't spending his own money. Serious grandstanding is going to be taxpayer subsidized. Everyone is sick of wearing masks and lock-downs based upon political considerations. I am not seeing a downside for DeSantis in the least.

Not from his base. But the taxpayers may have something to say about the frivolous lawsuit and spending taxpayer dollars to engage in it.

Do you listen to radio or TV? Many events here in Florida always tell in the ads that "CDC recommendations are followed, including mask wearing etc"

They are finally getting away from it here in Florida, but many private establishments brag "we follow CDC recommendations".

Come out from under your rock.

If you like pseudoscience and superstition and bureaucratic advancement, yes, they did a fine job of helping destroy the country.

Actually, Fauci is the longest serving and highest paid bureaucrat in the federal government. He's been in his appointed office for decades, long before Trump was elected.

I'm confused. It has been widely reported that Kelly Ann Conway and Ivanka Trump oversaw the messages coming from the CDC throughout the pandemic crisis (basically all of 2020) - so shouldn't he be taking up his issues with them?

Educated and stupid are not interchangeable by default.
I once met John Bardeen, came away impressed. Both at his incredible brilliance in physics and his lack of social skills.

Politics is what Operation Covid has been about from the beginning. It is NOT about public health, it is about politics and the plunder of the US Treasury and a few other things.

DeSantis is doing the right thing, no matter the result. If he succeeds in formally exposing the malfeasance and crimes, he serves a greater purpose.

    Again, a recommendation isn’t a ruling.

They have recommended for years that people frequently wash their hands and no one still does.

Stop using a rock as a source.

Those who created the CARES Act, and those who implemented it, right down to pretty much every single city and county commission, and many thousands of for profit corporations.

A perfect example is Elite Airways which operates out of Vero Beach, FL. It could not make a profit, and prior to Covid was behind in its payments to Vero Beach to the tune of $80,000 for rent. Under CARES Act it received $12 million. A company that could not operate at a profit received that much money. Is that throwing good money after bad?

Churches of all denominations received money from Covid/CARES. Little need to mention the fraud of the PCR tests and the many labs that benefited.

    Scamdemic is the word sir.

Again, you are oblivious to what's been going on in this country for more than a year. You don't seem to know that some parts of the country are still 'locked down' to some degree or another, and that many clowns walk around outdoors wearing a mask, all based upon "CDC recommendations". Wake up and smell the napalm sir, the constitutional republic has been burned to the ground by Fauci's fear mongering and treasonous politicians. Not a shot has been fired, and the sheep huddle in their masks over a virus with a survival rate of 99%
