I remain unconvinced that paper masks and cloth bandanas did much of anything to stop covid spread in the first place. I also believe that those that have recovered and (probably) those already vaccinated are quite unlikely to catch and spread covid. It seems to be a novel idea that someone with a healthy immune response to a virus can still spread it to others. Although I'm not a doctor, I've read enough to think this is also HIGHLY unlikely.
For those with weak immune systems or otherwise unhealthy it is probably a good idea to take precautions - just like always.

So I've come to the conclusion that those that think they are much more likely to contract covid after recovering / getting vaccinated if people around them are not wearing a mask are lacking in critical thinking skills. Full stop. And I refuse to wear a stupid swath of cloth around my face to appease the stupid and/or ignorant. I'm a d*ck that way.

    “Face Masks

In our systematic review, we identified 10 RCTs that reported estimates of the effectiveness of face masks in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infections in the community from literature published during 1946–July 27, 2018. In pooled analysis, we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks (RR 0.78, 95% CI 0.51–1.20; I2 = 30%, p = 0.25) (Figure 2). One study evaluated the use of masks among pilgrims from Australia during the Hajj pilgrimage and reported no major difference in the risk for laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infection in the control or mask group (33). Two studies in university settings assessed the effectiveness of face masks for primary protection by monitoring the incidence of laboratory-confirmed influenza among student hall residents for 5 months (9,10). The overall reduction in ILI or laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in the face mask group was not significant in either studies (9,10).”

No one claimed they were 100% effective. That fact is that they were barely effective at all. Is there any other way to explain the lack of covid spikes in areas where masks are not required?

C'mon man, this is pathetic. Tell me, do you think on average mask wearing was the same where it wasn't required as to where it was? If masks were a significant counter measure then you would have seen higher spread in places where people tended to not wear them as often. But you don't see that. Further, instead of coming to the logical conclusion you make up ad-hoc bullshit to pigeon hole reality into your preconceived views.

Weak. Here in NM people started to lose the useless masks over the weekend. If you are right (and we both know you aren't) we should expect a massive spike in 10-14 days. But that won't happen.

Uhh because science says you can't pass it if you've been vaccinated, it's really not difficult?

this is not about those vaccinated, it's about those that won't wear it anymore that were not vaccinated

Look sorry but covid is dying off, even non vaxed people have very little reason to wear masks that at best may help a tiny bit. It's their life, if others are worried get vaccinated and quit worrying about controlling other people.

see? if you could support any of the moronic claims you make, you'd provide the support. but you, me and everyone reading knows you can not, because they are mindlessly moronic and batshit crazy conspiracy theories.

No. No gene altering jab for me, thank you very much. I'm living my life per normal regardless of what the CDC says. The CDC doesn't know their own ass from their mouth, and contradict themselves all the time, so I see no reason to take any health advice from them.

The vaccines don't alter any genes.

They don't actually believe that their masks and jabs work, as evidenced by the fact that they continue to live their lives in fear.

And why doesn't he have to wear one around the Carter family? What's the deal with that?

Is there a "Eleuthera to English" book I can consult to figure out why you think your response addresses my post?

A sentiment I could easily see being expressed by any criminal ever. Yes, the state exists to enforce laws, which frequently involves infringing on liberties based on behavior. A situation exists (pandemic), that makes each of us a potential danger to others so the state recommends (previously demanded, depending on where you live) wearing a mask and/or getting the vaccine. The folks who get the vaccine become much less of a danger to others, and therefore are no longer recommended to wear masks. I don't think this is too difficult for reasonable people to understand.
