our idiot government just re-scheduled my 2nd dose shot

Why do these idiots get to rape our paycheck but then can't even do their jobs? Can anyone answer this?
I had gotten my first Moderna shot on May 4th and they scheduled my 2nd shot for June 1st.
Today they emailed me saying it was pushed from the 1st of June to the 4th. With this disclaimer at the bottom:
If you received the Moderna vaccine, you should receive your second dose after 28 days of your first dose.

well guess what? That makes 32 days between 1st and 2nd dose now. it did not say HOW LONG after. Now I'm thinking that it is too much time and might make the whole first shot pointless.
45 minutes on the phone with these stupid government employees and nobody could confirm if that was too many days or not.
Eventually during the call I was able to find out on the CDC.Gov site that it can be up to 42 days.
All that stess and drama for nothing.
    1) who the hell are they to make and break an appointment? (i'm guessing its because i'm white and they shoved me aside to squeeze in someone from a minority group)
    2) why aren't these government officials obligated to do a good job ?
    3) SCREW THE SYSTEM!

Darth, do you drink caffeinated coffee or tea? If so, you might find it a bit helpful to cut back a little. ;-)

You'll get your 2nd vaccination soon and it's going to be okay. I promise.

Coffee especially, I've found. Stuff used to make me crazy. Tea has been a much better alternative!

Isn't the covid vaccine the very definition of socialized medicine. The vaccine is 100% free to anyone in the US regardless of wealth, insurance, age, etc... I think this is what Sanders and company want all medical care in the US.

I think you should be fine. I think the 28 days is the minimum time you have to wait to get the second shot not the maximum. I thought I heard you can wait up to 6 weeks between shots.

It is fine. The CDC website says it can be up to 42 days. but the people on the phone did not have this info and I had to find it all myself. Giving them half my paycheck isn't enough for these people, now I have to do their jobs for them

I think all government employees need to be deported ASAP!

Yes, I also updated my post too. I googled the question and it said you can wait up to to 6 weeks, (42 days), after the first shot.

We've been told repeatedly that Dr. Fauci has changed his recommendations based on obtaining new and updated information. Therefore, it would only make sense that everyone is not up to speed on any given day. I don't know what you do for a living but are you ALWAYS right and have the latest information available? It's just not humanly possible.

I agree with you that government employees leave much to be desired, but I don't blame them when it comes to keeping pace with all the information thrown from every direction regarding COVID or the vaccines.

You don't mention who actually called you, or who you scheduled your appointments through, so I have to ask: why are you blaming the government? My family all scheduled ours through doctors or pharmacies, not the government. The one time we had one rescheduled, it was because of a mixup at the pharmacy. So how is the government to blame for your minor inconvenience of having to get your second shot three days later than you originally planned?

Not to mention that for the most part, there are 124 million people who had no problem.

Mine went off like clockwork. I had to stand in line for about five minutes. Then I waited 15 minutes after the shot and went on my way.

You believe this is all a hoax? That takes quite an imagination. A global conspiracy just to trick trumpers. LOL!

I don't have any stress or anxiety. I took logical and justified precautions, got my vaccinations, and evaded any problems. You guessed that most of the world is wrong and lying to you and you have magic knowledge. Good for you! It is great to have an imagination.

I also got to work at home for 14 months. That was horrible! LOL!

First off, since you don't know the reason for your appointment being moved, you don't know who to blame. I would guess it most likely had to do with your town's management of the vaccination sites (and your state government would come next, in probable culpability).

Secondly, while I've seen my share of bureaucratic stupidity, I also have had medical appointment times & days changed by the private medical offices; that is, in this field, unforeseen alterations in scheduling are par for the course, not something specifically attributable to none other than government involvement. Even when my appointments have not technically been changed, I've often not actually been seen by the doctor till more than an hour after my supposed appointment time. And coordinating the supplies, staff personnel, and patients for this operation can be a little bit more problematic than one's typical check-up, with their primary care provider.

Though I realize this does not help you, now, it's too bad you didn't take the route I explained to you (in another thread) that I was using, for my vaccination. Since I preferred to get the one-and-done J & J vaccine, I decided to use the private pharmacies that were enlisted in my (& I believe all) state's vax roll-out. Though there were initially no available slots, it is now at the point in my state when it's a breeze finding an available vaccine timeslot, at a host of locations. And since their websites, through which one makes an appointment, list which vaccine each branch is using on any given day, I was able to sign up, this past Thursday, for a slot the following day, at a pharmacy only a couple of miles from me, knowing that I would be receiving the Johnson & Johnson (Jansen) vaccine.

Best of luck, with your second dose.

You're right, but it's not so much socialism as it is fascism, government and pharma working hand in glove.

Likely it is also the advancement of a population control agenda, that is, a reduction in the population in the coming years.

Will you guy PLEASE try to get it RIGHT. What you are obviously conflating with Fascism is authoritarianism. Authoritarianism can be either Capitalist or Socialist. Fascism is basically nationalism on steroids BUT it is not INHERENTLY authoritarian, (though Fascism does lend itself to authoritarianism awfully well) Portugal under Salazar was Fascist but not authoritarian, Neither was Spain after Franco died.

The USSR was possibly the most oppressively authoritarian nation that has ever existed, but it was NOT Fascist, like Germany was since its underlying ethos was at least ostensibly very strongly International in scope.

This is not just semantic quibbling. The USA under Reagan was called Friendly Fascism and many authorities agree with the name.

I got mine through the government vax site. A co-worker who got her first one the same day as I did had her second one pushed back 3 days but I got mine the day we were both originally scheduled. They said they had overbooked the day we were both supposed to get jab 2 and needed to move her. I never got called. It actually made sense that they were overbooked because the day we got the first jab was a complete logistical disaster. They were running a couple hours behind by noon after opening at 9

There certainly over 100,000 sources of reasonable authority that say up to 42 days as the longest recommended interval, although longer delays are probably fine, as well.

It is hard to understand how this information is not easily available, from any pharmacy or doctor or health insurance provider, in or out of network.

100% medical coverage for all is possibly the only program that will avoid this lack!
