For the last part of the question, from what I have heard they have no way of proving Trump knew about it. That is why I think they are trying so desperately to get Weisselberg to flip. People can have their own assumptions on whether Trump knew but I think that is just wasted speculation.

For the first part of your question, I have no idea. Like I said, I have not followed this story that closely. I thought I heard on a clip that Weisselberg's daughter received paid for tuition valued around 50K or something. Others following this closer could probably give me much more details of what people are rumored to have received.

Caveat, this story is over a month old and may have nothing to do with the charges and may have been totally debunked. I am only providing it as a source of info for your question.

In a nut shell according to ex-daughter in law of Weisselberg more the $500K in tuition was paid for by checks signed by Weisselberg or Trump. She said she and her husband understood the tuition to be part of his compensation package at the Trump Org.

So my thoughts are, if this old story is true, 500K is a lot of money. If they reported that income and the Trump org reported the expense all is good. If the Trump Org reported the expense and she and her husband never reported the income they are in trouble for tax evasion. If both did not report the expense or income then both are in trouble for evasion and fraud.

Yes, the Manhattan district attorney used all their personnel for this while dropping charges against all the rioters who were arrested for looting Manhattan into a ghost town last summer .

They didn’t “win” they reached a settlement because the dems said we will stop suing you and allow you to continue the audit as long as you don’t do signature verification. The republicans agreed because they didn’t want the democrats to hold off the audit indefinitely.

But that doesn’t change the fact the democrats are fighting tooth and nail to prevent a signature verification audit. They said we can look at ANYTHING we want... EXCEPT for the one thing in signature verification which will definitively prove if they cheated or not.

 

How do you match the envelope signature with the ballot once they've been separated?
