Interesting...you could say it's "a Capitol offense." Will there be public hangings?

Here's a sad picture for our times.... They have a live shot of the Texas Dems up in DC this AM, and most of them are fanning themselves with paper.

Texans bothered by the heat/humidity in Washington... TEXANS...

    Where is Autumn????

Absolutely. When the opposition doubles down on their false statement ? That gets bookmarked for future use.

Hmmmmmmm, who else do we know has been doubling down on false statements for the past 4 years and was voted out ? This is strangely familiar.

The same number of times Trump has been indicted for felony obstruction, as detailed in the Mueller report.

    Not
    On
    SCOTUS

The R Senate leader used procedural rules to prevent the Garland SCOTUS nomination advancing to the floor for a vote. As you well know.
Now maybe you will have the courage or courtesy to answer the question: do you think it is ok for legislators to use legislative rules to achieve their objectives?

I notice a trend here. Republicans following the rules of the Senate are bastages but democrats not following the rules are angels.

TX democrats were singing “We shall overcome” in DC.

Shotgunning beers on a private plane for an all expense taxpayer paid vacation to DC, no different than Selma.

i think republicans are going to be in big trouble soon

more and more people realize that they can vote against oligarchy

just look at the recent presidential election for example

the best part was how biden told trump to shut-up on national tv, then took his job, house, planes and cars

    Just like these Oregon cowards?

Oregon's 2020 Legislative Session Ends With Little To Show After Republican Walkout - OPB

Just making sure we're not being hypocritical.

The rules governing a quorum are what they are. I presume they are set up that way for a reason. Given how infrequently this stuff happens, one party sabotaging a vote in this manner, I would say it's not a really a problem to solve.

The real problem is when one party firmly believes in something and is willing to take this sort of action, it should encourage the other party to rethink what it's proposing. Just as it should have in my example above in Oregon.
