I have nothing but disdain for places of business that incorporate political or social bias. As a child, I vaguely remember the "no negro" signs in restaurants in the southern states of the US. They were later banned by law. Then as a resident of South Africa during the Apartheid era, I saw the "Whites Only" signs absolutely everywhere. They too disappeared when Apartheid was defeated. Here, in Sweden, there are homo flags being hoisted up literally everywhere, including every public and government building except for the police station ... so far. A few months ago one of my favourite restaurants stuck one of those flags on the wall above my head (while I was eating!). Needless to say, I never went back there again, and I won't.

I don't give a crap about Biden. I don't like him. But I will never eat at a restaurant that thinks it's necessary for me to know his/her political affiliation.

People who get so worked up over politics that they refuse to serve “the other side” are morons. The same goes for people who practically disown family over something as stupid as politics. Every politician in Washington right now is laughing at how divided we have become, and how easy we are to turn on each other. It just makes it easier for them to control us and keep themselves in power. Stories like this one make Americans look pathetic.

 

But trump.

The media made everyone hysterical about trump. If it wasn't painfully obvious by now. He did a decent job.

 

It's a minute problem. It's the fringe. The extremists. We need to focus more on the center, instead of the fringe loonies.

This restaurant owner needs some basic business education. She is letting politics spread more social destruction than it has now. Let's not put freedom out of business.

If I were you, this is not something to celebrate. The fact that members of the Trump fan club give money to restaurant owners like this one, just because of their shared hate for Biden voters, should make you concerned about the divided state of the country. And before you say: The other side did it too. Yes, they did, and it was wrong too. This kind of stuff just continues the spread of hate for the fellow countrymen, which can't have any good ending.

 

Absolutely. This is the kind of partisan garbage tearing this country apart. Politics is the new religious dogma, and the Republicans and Democrats are the faithful. And they are both on a crusade to destroy the country.

 

Yep, divide and conquer. That's how this works. Where will this end? Communities segregated by gerrymandering, where either side has 100% lock on the vote? And then, people move in and out of those communities based on political affiliation? Segregated dining for left or right only? So people won't have to be offended sitting next to the table of a group with opposite political views? What do those people living in the self-created bubbles of political unity do when they have to travel? Oh the horror, sitting next to a Biden/Trump voter on the airplane. That should create some serious anxiety.

 

Here is the intended scenario by the owner of the OP restaurant.

CUSTOMER: "This food is awful! I will never eat here again!"

RESTAURANT OWNER: "But we don't like Biden!"

CUSTOMER: "Oh! Why didn't you say so? In that case, I'll be eating my lunch here every day! You ought to put a sign out front then you can continue serving this slop and you'll still improve business."

RESTAURANT OWNER: "Good idea! Thanks for the tip!"

 

so she'll lose the business of all 11 Biden supporters in Volusia County ...

 

I think they all get their meals in the cafeteria of the Volusia Correctional Facility anyway.

the right just finally had enough and started to fight back using the very same tactics the left has used for decades

telling how when the left has been boycotting a denying of service you was like yah it is their right more power to them

Not building a Mosque in my neighborhood.
No Hud housing in my neighborhood.
No drive by shootings or carjacking in my neighborhood.

You are allowed to have what you want in your neighborhood, this is America. We will have what we want in our neighborhoods. We do not want progressives in our neighborhoods because we are fully aware of what their votes will do to our community. More aware than at any time in my lifetime. We see the results of progressive votes all around us. Progressives are at war with our communities and doing everything in their power to deconstruct, demoralize and subvert them (note, these are among the safest communities on earth with the least income equality, little utopias). Our survival necessitates that we engage in cancel culture at a local level, ie: marginalize and depower the subverters within the community. I have never been so proud or happy with local conservative communities than I have been these last few months. We are finally fighting back for our communities. It was a long time coming.

We can live in the same country peaceably IF we are allowed to live apart from people who don't share our values and who would attempt to force their values upon us. Subverting a perfectly happy and prosperous community is an active of supreme violence.
