Former U.S. President Donald Trump might make another White House run in 2024, but if he does, he will take his place in American history as a two-time loser, House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi predicted on Thursday.

Seizing an opportunity to score a political point against the man who continues to be the most powerful force in the Republican Party, Pelosi proclaimed, “I don’t ever talk about him.”
However, she continued to talk about Trump, though not by name.
"I reference him from time to time as ‘What’s His Name,’” Pelosi said, quickly adding: “If he wants to run again, he’ll be the first president who was impeached twice and defeated twice.”

    There you have it.

Nancy saying out loud what everybody (especially, any Republican who wants a realistic chance to win back the Presidency in 2024) is already thinking.

A Re-Nomination of Trump (by the GOP in 2024) would be a disaster and lead to a certain defeat.

Do you agree with Nancy's assessment?
Would a Trump Re-Nomination in 2024 be a horrible move for the GOP?

No, the fear of the left and their inability to stop talking about it, is strong evidence that they know they will lose.

Going back to normal will not happen. Biden has shown that he has no intention of unifying the country. That time has passed.

All that matters now is getting a president in that can and will fight for our freedoms and save America from destruction.

De Santis, Trump, Cruz, or Rand Paul, are the only ones capable of doing it and are well known enough for people to vote for. I will vote to nominate any one of them if they run.

I was just reading an article about him from a different source and had me thinking, how sad. For the country and the Republican party. Gonzales was touted - early on - to be a rising star in the party, and in the country. But because he didn't tow the party line, he has to fear for the safety of himself and his family.

I may be a liberal/Dem, but I'm encouraged when I see great candidates in the Republican party. Our country needs good people on both sides of the aisle, not just in our own party. And when we have another Republican POTUS, I'm hoping they would be a strong leader. But when the line in the sand - 10 months after his election loss - is supporting Trump, I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Just look at what state Reps are doing in Pennsylvania! How many Republicans here support subpoenas for all voters in 2020 to hand over their personal information - name, birthdate, address, DL number and social security number - to a hired auditing firm?

Y'all we’re saying the same in 2017-2020. Not only did he lose in a ‘landslide’ which is rare for an incumbent, he took the Senate out with him.

    Run him again

The reason we talk about it is because it is the first time many of us have seen such an extreme cult and because the rightwing keeps him in the news.

Oh boy, I can hardly wait to hear what a liberal/Dem thinks a great candidate for the Republican party looks like. Let me guess, Socialist Party A and Socialist Party B.

People who could appeal to Independents (like Kasich) would be a good template.

Anthony is wrong on nearly every issue. He would ban abortion at conception. He supports more wars. He does not care about free speech. He doesn't care about the issue of power being monopolized by a few rich and big corporations. He can go into a time machine and go run in the bush era that created anti-merica legislation like the Patriot act. That republican party is dead.

I hate authoritarians on both the left and the right.

What's his name is too egotistical to step aside and support another Republican. Nothing but death will keep him from running (even if that means running his party into a black hole filled with a volcano).

I like Kasich. I would have voted for him in the last election if he was a choice. I wish he would run as an Independent and the voters would get out of this "party line" thing,

And there it is, a petty woman acting like only a petty woman can. The only female democrat worse than her is Clinton, and if you've seen pictures of her lately she's at home enjoying her newly gained weight by consuming yuge quantities of Ho Hos and Ding Dongs.

Sadly, the GOP lacked the will to dump Trump in 2020.
Had Kasich been the nominee, the GOP would have had a much better chance in the key swing states.

Re-Nominating Trump for President would lead to a certain loss in 2024.
Of course, Trump's Voters won't realize that until Election Night 2024.

Then, once again in '24 (as in '20) they will scream "rigged"/"we wuz robbed!"

Hopefully the AZ "Audit" will be finished by then.

Actually, I like a candidate/politician who consistently represents their own beliefs and works on behalf of the people who put them in their position. What I don't like is anyone who simply tows the party line - whether they believe it or not. As frustrated as many liberals are with Joe Manchin, he seems to be voting according to what he believes and what his constituents believe.

A lot depends on whether or not the Republicans can win the House in 2022. If they can, Pelosi and her ilk will be essentially neutered, and the Republicans should have a strong foundation to build upon for 2024, regardless of who their candidate is.

If trump runs, and anyone challenges him they’ll be met with his typical juvenile attacks and pressure until they drop out. Will any of them have the balls to hit him back and risk getting the Jeb treatment?

    Not so fast!

All we need is a recession (and we are long overdue for one), and people will start thinking with rose colored glasses about the Trump years. They'll have long forgotten in 2024 about what happened on Jan 6th 21, plus, the Trump media will continue their revisionist history reporting on the event. I think Trump can be a REAL threat in 2024, which is why we need candidates better than Biden and Kamala.

Other than the driver's license number, all of that is recorded in the voter rolls anyway. So you pretty much already do. The auditing firm would have the same info in the voter rolls and can cross-verify. I see no problem with that.

Revision of January 6th has already happened on the Establishment side. Remember, it's been roughly comparable now to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor(ROFL.) All most people have been doing(myself included) has been to try to put the 6th back in proper context, lest people think that some grave loss of life happened or that the people responsible for the 6th haven't already faced prosecution(well, besides the wet dream of seeing Trump in an orange uniform.)

If Trump wins the nomination, the losers should immediately challenge the results, and tie him up in court past election day.
