The MAGA only need to convince themselves that their actions are justified, that the fraud is real and that those who do nothing against Biden are accomplices in his crime. All conspiracy theorists do the same thing: they discard all the information that contradicts what they think, and drink exclusively from that which supports their political opinions. 55% of Republicans still believe, 9 months after the election, that Biden stole the victory from Trump. This is despite the fact that no tangible evidence could give them any hope that Trump's claims were true. And this belief makes perfect sense in the mind of a Trumpist who drinks in the propaganda of Steve Bannon, Newsmax, OAN and Fox. These networks will never do anything to attack the Big Lie because the ratings would plummet. The MAGA's only watch the networks that support their views and like this forum, systematically refute any facts that undermine their ideology. The good news is that the more radical they become, the more their ideas repel moderate independents, who are the largest political force in the country. And the liberals only need the support of 45% of independents to neutralize the Republicans politicaly. In short, we are witnessing the slow decay of American conservatism.

When he was directly questioned about the violence he was blunt. Unless you read the interview or a report on it, you wouldn't know. Fox picked it up which is where I read it.

Protest yes? Riot? You lose the message. And riots happened ever damn night with no clear messaging as to what they wanted or the change they wanted to see. It was just rage and bad faith players who like anarchy jumping on the band wagon. Blm if it actually gave a ****. Would have immediately distanced itself from the riots in their name. But they didn't. They embraced the violence and claimed it was necessary. And that's why that group lost me entirely. Antifa has just always been anarchist. They hate our society and want everything to be torn down and start new again.. Jan 6 was a crowd that got into a frenzy a and caught up in the moment. Many of the judges have engaged in questionable conduct, denying bail for flimsy or outrageous reasons, or imposing restrictions on defendants who are out on bail which go beyond the usual that one would expect for a crime that amounts to trespassing. Would the mob of aggressive protesters have gotten this treatment if they had been, for instance, Obama supporters or BLM activists? I don't know for sure but have my doubts. How long does someone deserve to be punished for trespassing and being part of a mob?

Under what authority do you speak for the people present that day? Are you an attorney and covered by attorney-client privilege? If so, how many of the arrested Capitol rioters do you represent? If there is not attorney-client privilege, did those people confess to you that this was a prank and nobody planned to hurt our Vice-President?
