Glad you liked it man. Kind of surprised you didn't know of him considering some of the music you have provided here (such as the KMFDM track you sent my way. I love some of that classic industrial stuff, and am saddened it is gone without a successor, at least I haven't found one...).

Puscifer is great. Be sure to check out the "Conditions of My Parole" album, and some single tracks like "The Humbling River" , "The Mission", "Mama Sed", "Rev-22:20".

Also, Maynards primary band Tool is obviously worth checking out, especially their last release "Fear Inoculum". Some people don't like the unorthodox methods of Tool, but I find that I really enjoy learning the patterns of Tool's music (I.e. lateralis being sung to the fibonacci sequence while the music surrounding it actually feels like spirals, or learning the patterns to the inspiring "Descending" track after the vocals are gone and the song turns instrumental).

Anyways, glad you found some fresh sonorous sounds to sway with your soul. Its ironic you replied to me with a KMFDM track as a couple months ago ive been trying to find something that hits like some of the NIN albums (downward spiral, fragile, year zero to some extent), or even something like Manson's Antichrist Superstar album, and couldn't find anything to that flavor, so I just binged some other stuff like KMFDM, Ministry, Revolting c.cks, etc, which led me into an industrial techno realm (not a realm I am comfortable in, but some stuff in there is ok.....). Im still on that hunt so if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

And something for the topic to justify my excessive rambling. An awesome performance of "I'm So Afraid" by Fleetwood Mac. I'm not a huge fan of the album version of this song, but absolutely love this live version :

Living under a rock as I do limits my exposure to new things, so I somehow missed Maynard until now.

I don't know of anything besides classic KMFDM that delivers the Ultra Heavy Beat, but I know that En Esch put out an interesting solo album (which also involved Günter Schulz) called Cheesy that I happened upon at a record store, and he and Schulz went on to make more music as Slick Idiot after they left KMFDM. Apparently he is now, or at least more recently has been involved with a group called NUKES:

And Wiki indicates that Slick Idiot is still going. I only have their DickNity album, but apparently they've put out a couple others. At any rate, that kind of talent for music of this genre seems to be pretty rare. It would be interesting to hear what En Esch, Günter Schulz and Maynard would come up with if they did a collaboration.

One group that definitely has a good hard rock sound is the German group Eisbrecher:

But this isn't what I would call my main music genre, if I even have one. Most of the music I like and have is not that hard, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about it.

Have you seen and heard this, though?:

The intro is taken from Werner Herzog's "Stroszek" movie, then the rest is instrumental. The video makes awesome use of stock footage.

Only German music from the classical period should be posted here. Can we all agree?

Yes we did. Took down Rome. Mostly Scandinavian Vikings did it though.

Aren't Russians of Scandinavian stock? Putin looks like he'd be very comfortable in a Viking helmet.

Speaking of Nordic goddesses let's hear a little something from the source. Stuff like this never gets old.

She looked better with more hair. Why does she keep it so short?

Certainly the short hair is not intended for her to blend in. I saw her once come into a dive shop in Miami called the Tarpoon Lagoon where I was booking a boat ride. Couldn't miss her with the shaved head. Instant recognition. She bought, if memory serves me correctly, a mask strap. So I'm thinking she is a scuba diver.
