You hate juries? Here - this is a photo of Magna Carta. Print it out, take it outside, burn it and stay in the 12th Century where you belong.
Nicholas Fondacaro on Twitter: "The family of criminal Jacob Blake clashes with Rittenhouse supporters outside the courthouse. A woman calls a man with a "Free Kyle" sign a "piece of s***" and attacks the "all-white jury." His uncle claims today is worse than when the officer was acquitted. https://t.co/cj2596ToJ0" / Twitter Idiots still don't know who was black / white.
The jury made their decision, and I feel they put a lot of thought into it. Great for Rittenhouse, but doesn't feel like something to actually celebrate, much like it didn't seem like people should have celebrated OJ being acquitted. Two people dead. No matter who's "side" you were on, I have to feel badly for all of the families involved. No more protests, looting, etc should occur.
Defending himself from an armed EMT professional? "I'm missing 90% of my bicep," he said last year. "This has not been easy emotionally, physically. I'm in constant pain, like excruciating pain that just doesn't go away -- both in my arm, in my heart." In October, Grosskreutz also sued the city and county of Kenosha and many of its officers alleging "Kenosha law enforcement officers and white nationalist militia persons discussed and coordinated strategy" that led to the shooting. The lawsuit said Grosskreutz had a tourniquet in his medic bag the night he was shot, adding "but for his training as an EMT, Grosskreutz would have likely been Rittenhouse's third killing." https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/01/us/kyle-rittenhouse-shooting-victims-trial/index.html
I doubt many people knew this or cared. The jury was Cleary focused on the trial and not Biden or Harris.
Justice was affirmed today an innocent man was squirted today. And to associate him with those is about as vile and falacicous thing I've seen you post.
I have every intention of checking them out later. I'm expecting a lot of crying and screaming and gratuitous bleating and babbling about "WAAAAAACISM!". You know, the usual stuff.....
On day one of the trial dduring opening statements ADA Binger objected to the defense showing the video evidence to the jurors. His objection was overruled. That's the moment Binger lost the case. Kyle should have never even been charged in the first place because all the video evidence proved conclusively that the only convicts he shot had attacked him first. This is a textbook case of malicious prosecution. Binger should be prosecuted.
Juries are given instruction by the judge (More than you have) to vote on the charges after hearing the evidence. They don't need to know anything about the law. Its spelled out for them and drafted for their review. And you didn't know that? In this case the prosecutor was caught knowingly by testimony, his attempt to get the witness to change his police report In this case the prosecutor falsified gun charges he knew were legal and the judge had to drop them In this case the prosecutor was caught withholding evidence which lead to a filing of a mistrial that the judge excepted In this case the prosecutor was caught trying to pry into witnesses right to silence and had to be called down so bad, the jury had to be removed 3 times
People I care about don't do what the people who attacked Rittenhouse did. Do the people you care about do?
I expected a hung jury or a conviction. It took courage for a targeted Kenosha jury to vote to acquit. Brave citizens - all of them.
Like I said in the other thread Kyle was in position argue self defense in each instance given the situations, and the jury accepted those arguments, and given his age and complete lack of experience and/or training made it believable that he was truly scared and felt his life was in danger. An adult probably might have reacted in a different manner to Rosenbaum, but in the end the only thing that matter is how Kyle felt. There are arguments a skilled prosecutor could have made, like that using AR15 against unarmed people is excessive amount of force, but in the other hand that was all Kyle had, so...... Well, it is what it is. He is a free man, and cannot be tried again, unless he repeats his actions (which he won't since he says he wished he had never gone there).
LOL what a sick take. Guess what we've always given our armed populace the right to defend themselves from attack from those who are trying to do serious bodily injury or kill us. I hope it doesn't happen to you someday because obviously for political purposes you won't be armed.
I would like to think people I care about would try and stop an active shooter situation, but I don't know for sure...
