2. PERSONAL ATTACKS AND INSULTS

Personal attacks and insults are not tolerated here. When replying to a post, your own post must be about the post to which you are replying, not the poster themselves. The rules regarding personal attacks extend not only to individual posters, but to groups as well. A certain amount of latitude may be granted in discussing the policies and the practices of a political party or other political organization, but posters should be advised that this is thin ice, and be cautious about making remarks that personally insult the members of such parties or organizations. And again, simply saying, "I hate Republicans" does not constitute an attack or an insult against Republicans. "I hate Republicans because they are corrupt" is an attack, because it is attacking the character of all Republicans.

 

Well- you seem to be confused. Democracy is honest process- not claiming other are dishonest when it suits your purpose. You aren't supporting true democracy- you're attacking and subverting it. Truth is truth and should be universally recognized despite who it hurts or helps. People with good character do that. People who don't do that- don't have good character. That is all you have to see to know so.

Codswallop. Not even the Trumpster himself made any effort outside of legal channels to attempt to do anything anywhere close to your overactive imagination. On 1/20/21, there was a peaceful transfer of power, even if he did go away with his ego bruised. In fact, it was Dick Cheney who oversaw and certified the vote that made Biden POTUS, and he was, and is, very much a Republican. And nobody, not Trump, or even his most devoted followers has even suggested the end of voting. The very idea is so preposterous that it wouldn't even make good fiction. Had he really wanted to, I think he might have had enough influence with both civilians and within the military to quite possibly ignite a Civil War, but he made no effort to do so.

Given that you failed to address my list, I shall assume that those things and more are precisely your vision for the future United States. Which makes you, like all commies before you, far more dangerous than a sore loser who tried to use the courts to help him gain a victory he probably honestly believed was stolen from him. But unlike what you would do to remake the US, he eventually accepted defeat, no matter how begrudgingly.

It might be a bit of a curse, but I'm glad my country means enough to me that I wouldn't just pretend things didn't happen. It hurts to watch others just watch the country get sold off and then lie to themselves and others about how it's not happening though. At least, I can always look at myself and know I was an American. I didn't just tuck my tail and live in an imaginary world. But, it was all because my country actually mattered to me. That wasn't a thing I just said. By god, I can sure always face myself and know, at least I wasn't a republican.

As for your list, almost all of it is made up stuff. It's excuses for people to be ok with being traitors. "How can I not let trump steal my country when the democrats will import gay black antifa to kill the police and rape my border wall?? If the taxes for billionaires goes up .001% I'll starve! Don't you see? Being a traitor and a coward was my only choice. Tell me everything I'm supposed to think and feel mr. trump, I'm not American enough to think for myself, I'll believe anything you tell me to believe you did or didn't do."

 

This is an excuse to not stand up for your country. There isn't even a reason to believe it. Right now, there are not two sides of a political spectrum in two distributed parties. There is a republican party with only one platform: do what trump wants and gain more power. Both of these things are completely at odds with American interests and in fact does lead directly to jack booted thugs standing on your neck. If trump gotten what he did everything legal and illegal to do, America and freedom would be over. So, that path is unequivocally anti-American.

As for the rest, they constitute a very diverse group of people with extremely varied interests all across the spectrum. It is not a monolith like the right. But, right now, the only real dividing line between the republicans and everyone else, is that the republicans want trump (or maybe the next demagogue) to succeed over the United States. Everyone else would prefer the united states survive.

 

Yes, there are two sides. The patriotic, America is good, Republican Party, and the America hating, morally bankrupt, Democratic Party.

 

The superficially flag waving fake grinning salesmen. Who hunt down people that don't really love their country and give them a fake spray tan of patriotism. Give them a slogan to yell. Tell them to give the country a participation trophy. And while those toadies are busy desecrating the shiny flags on the back of their trucks and dressing up in costumes and accessories trying to pretend those paper thin trinkets make up for their failure to their country, the salesmen are reaching right in front of their eyes to take it away from everyone. And those little lackeys don't care enough to do anything. They want to play with their toys and decorations. They help tear it down, and only have hope of being saved.

The democrats (or at least everyone else) are just average Americans. Great and small. Most, want to make the country better, and that means you can't just ignore problems and things you don't like to think about. That's it. Just plain old Americans.

 

Nothing the Democrats have ever done has been for the good of the country. From slavery to the KKK to lynching people they hate (there have been a lot of people they hate) to Jim Crow laws to their present day racist policies, the Democratic Party has been, and still is, pure evil.

Whatever influencer is trying to tell you there is some comparison between either party of 100 years ago and today is either so stupid and ignorant of history that you can safely ignore literally everything they say, or (much more likely) they are lying to you (and you should still ignore them). They are lying to you knowing you don't care enough about your country to learn the difference. Knowing that they CAN lie to you and you will suck it up. Because you won't fight for your country, you will just lay down and play with these trinkets and use them to make excuses for yourself. They don't even have to do any convincing to get you to do it, they just have to give you excuses.

 

I don’t know about you but I have fought for my country, six years in the Navy during the Vietnam War. I’ve listened to a lot of Democrat liars over the years. That party is a corrupt abscess on America’s butt.

 

Then you didn't really fight for your country. Because you sure as hell ain't now. You are rolling over and letting your country go without a fight, you're even helping. As long as you can keep soothing yourself with lies and excuses you will happily let it go. The vietnamese were never ever going to threaten this country, hell not even the chinese, but by god we are under threat now, but you need to keep lying to yourself.
