AOC says Texas turning blue is inevitable during campaign stop

Her entire attitude is remarkably idiotic, too.

First of all, when a person comes up with an idea that sells for billions, it's their idea that's selling for billions, not someone else's idea, so yes, they are making billions of dollars.

Secondly, that person is creating an opportunity for other people to make money off their idea, whether they're 1) manufacturing a product or providing a service or 2) marketing it. Furthermore, they may be providing their customers with an opportunity to make money off their idea. The person who came up with the idea is not taking money from anyone. AOC has got it ass backwards.

Third, so what if they make billions of dollars? Obviously, they're providing a product or service that a lot of people need or want and are willing to pay for, and that's a good thing.

We've all heard that Marxist claptrap from hypocrites like her and the rest of the Babouvian Illiterati a million times, and we all know they should be supporting, encouraging and applauding success instead of demonizing it and dividing people for their own cynical, self-serving purposes.

 

It is true , it has nothing to do with trump as Obamacare was out well before him and people were already pissed off about it , especially people like me at the time who didn’t have the money to pay for healthcare and were punished for it .

A many people outside of a few swing states don’t vote because it’s basically pointless like in places like California ,NY or TX where districting makes it very hard for your vote to even matter . If it was a free for all it would be closer than you think because everyone’s vote would ultimately matter . These are 2 different voting systems , just because one may look good for one doesn’t mean the other will .

Lastly our country was designed to not allow a majority to rule over everyone else , it was designed to keep fascists like progressives from submitting the country via votes from just a few cities . Again , you prove who the real fascists are as you want to make changes that give only your side an ultimate advantage .

They can simply go find another job and they've moved on from the business with zero accountability towards the business that went under while the investors in the business are still responsible for it.

Imagine if a company with 10,000 employees went under and all 10,000 employees were responsible for the millions in debt. And considering how often companies go out of business that would disastrous for the economy. But then thinking things through isn't her strong suit.

EB, I gotta tell you right now - I live in California and we are most definitely leaving CA when I retire.

I love it where I am but I'm sorta in one of the emptier areas of CA and between the taxes and Newsom acting like an idiot and the fact that - well, my retirement doesn't get taxed if I move elsewhere as opposed to it being taxed if I stay (which is again, taxes) - well, what can I say? My son who moved to Colorado, describes it as a blue state run using sanity as opposed to here. I'm not sure if I'll go there in a few years - my wife is looking at Mexico where my dollar will REALLY stretch far - I doubt we'll move to Texas or Florida, I guess I could go home to Canada - but either way you look at it - I'm sorry but California is a mess and I'm not staying. I also gotta add, most of the teachers I know who retired - almost none of them stayed here either.

These things run in cycles and slowly moves around the country. The Northeast was once solid Republican, remember the old Rockefeller liberal Republicans. The south, solid democratic. Let’s look at all the trends.


Trends on the movement of States: Blue to Red or Red to Blue


There has been movement from 2000-2021 for the states from red to blue or blue to red. Below is the movement based on PVI, Partisan Voting Index along with their number of electoral votes for the 2024 presidential election.


Arizona from an R+6 down to an R+3. Moving blue. 11 electoral votes

Florida from R+1 to a R+3 getting slightly redder. 30 electoral votes

Georgia from a R+10 down to an R+2 Moving blue 16 electoral votes

Michigan from a D+6 to a R+1 Moving Red 15 electoral votes

Nevada from D+3 to even Moving Red 6 electoral votes

North Carolina from an R+13 down to a R+2 moving blue 16 electoral votes

Ohio from an R+4 up to an R+6 Becoming more red 17 electoral votes

Pennsylvania from D+4 to even moving red 19 electoral votes

Texas from an R+20 down to an R+5 moving blue 40 electoral votes

Wisconsin from a D+10 to a R+2 moving red 10 electoral votes


Interesting to note some southern states trending blue, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas with Florida being the exception as it is trending redder. States from the Midwest, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin are turning red with Ohio getting redder. Out west Nevada is trending red while Arizona is trending blue. If Texas were to turn blue in 2024 along with the other states trending blue, that is 83 electoral votes. If the GOP were to win all the states trending red, their total of electoral votes would be 97.


As for Texas, Hispanics there are becoming more Republican. Trump received 32% of the Hispanic vote nationwide in 2020, but received 41% of the Hispanic vote in Texas, 38% in New Mexico, 37% in Arizona. Compare those vote percentages to say New York where Trump received by 22%. In 2016, Trump received 28% of the Hispanic vote nationwide, 34% in Texas, 33% in New Mexico and 30% in Arizona. As for New York in 2016, Trump’s share of the Hispanic vote was 23%, basically the same as in 2020.


I’d keep an eye on the Hispanic vote. The democrats have been taking them for granted. That could be a big mistake moving forward. Especially in the border states.

 

What they really think but can't say, is that more hispanic = texas going blue. But when you look at what happened to the heavily hispanic border counties in 2020 compared to 2016, every single one shifted towards trump and two flipped. Clinton won them all in 2016 and Trump won two in 2020 but in every single one Trump made up ground from 2016.

The Biden administration has been the best insurance against texas going blue you could ever have asked for.
