Thomas doesn't know how to define the word "no".

I'm not sure what the context of that was.

What if Mrs Brown has the rule on a case that requires simply differentiating between a man and a woman?

Like doctors, lawyers (judges are lawyers although one doesn't need to be to be appointed to the SCOTUS) and Indian Chiefs, she calls in an expert witness.

I doubt he had her in mind when he was trying to cover up his racism.

He just picked her because she was the right color. He said he was going to do that.

Joe Biden On Anita Hill In 1998: ‘She Was Lying’

"Former vice president Joe Biden repeatedly said on The View on Friday that he believed Anita Hill from the moment he heard her tale of sexual harassment by Clarence Thomas. But he previously told Sen. Arlen Specter that it was clear her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee included lies."

“Not only didn’t I vote for Clarence Thomas, I believed her from the beginning. I was against Clarence Thomas, I did everything in my power to defeat Clarence Thomas and he won by the smallest margin anyone ever won going on the Supreme Court,” Biden told “The View’s” Joy Behar."

"But in 1998, Biden admitted to Specter that “It was clear to me from the way she was answering the questions, [Hill] was lying” about a key part of her testimony. The exchange was published in Specter’s 2000 memoir, “Passion for Truth: From Finding JFK’s Single Bullet to Questioning Anita Hill to Impeaching Clinton.”

You need to add some comment to that if you want a response.

Do you think when they ruled on women's suffrage that it was important to be able to define what a woman was?

and they continue to make it an issue ......when it isn't one.......

They have yet to figure out that gender, pigmentation, color of ones eyes.......etc..........has nothing to do with competence or a skill set.

Gender definition is a bit more complicated now............as the social fabric has changed.

The biological definition is only one definition. The psychological definition is another .

    You completely dodged my question.
Women suffrage affected only women that is to say females.

No.........on'e biology determines what you are. It is NOT a CHOICE. Did you choose to be what you are?? No........ your biology determined that for you. Biology and your hormones were your indicator.

It also affected men............ as men has to accept more Independence and a different role in women...........from what had been the traditional one.

The male role and ego was affected.

excellent question, MJ. I wondered that too. Did it have something to do with gender and the law??..........and in what way?? The "legal" definition of a woman??.. How would it be different fro the biological/ psychological one??

And my chromosomes and my genitalia and my reproductive ability.

I have never been able to menstruate and I will never be able to give birth this means that I am not a female.
