    According to the WaPo

"NEW YORK — A six-month grand jury that was convened late last year to hear evidence against Donald Trump was set to expire this week, closing a chapter in a lengthy criminal investigation that appears to be fizzling out without charges against the former president, people familiar with matter said."

So what say all of you who have made statements of fact that he is a criminal and just you wait, we got him this time, we're not kidding a slam dunk?

You think they've finally concluded the Steele dossier was a complete fabrication by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the FBI are trying to cover themselves against future lawsuits?

But said grand jury can be reconvened if there is no vote on whether to bill or no bill the indictment.

This just in: The Minister of Truth declared that Trump was charged, indicted and convicted.

Pay no attention to that man speaking at the rally!

Yes but just more trumped up charges against President Trump. Any one else see the irony here?

Well, that sucks... hopefully AG James can get him where it really hurts... financially... although her inquiry is still criminal in nature as well...

Or Georgia.... Or defamation.....Or the Trump Tower assault case.....Or the Cohen retaliation suit... Or the mishandling of classified information investigation....Or the inauguration funds scam.....Or the insurrection..... Or the attempted coup

Teflon Don escapes one arrow of justice again...

State law says the maximum time for a grand jury to be convened is six months. For the grand jury to be completed, either a bill, or indictment, or no bill, refuse to indict, is needed for this. If neither, the state can reconvene or impanel a new grand jury. Nothing in the WashPo article stipulates that the grand jury is finished. But it will be up to the State District Attorney to make that decision.

property loans and tax valuations tend to be complex in most cases involving real estate businesses. And most grand juries have no idea what they are looking at unless they are a CPA or tax attorney on the grand jury.

I already knew when Congress failed to impeach Trump, and then Trump lost the election, that the issue of holding Trump legally accountable for crimes had been put to rest. I didn't even know why the NY Attorney General started up an investigation. The outcome had already been decided. And that's how corruption works in our legal system. Corruption isn't just about money.

ROFLMAO so that's your next made up excuse, the grand is just stupid? But not YOU, you of course are smarter than they are and had all figured out, maybe you should have petition the DA to be an expert witness so you could explain it to the grand jury. Guess, the DA's office has lawyers who deal in business accounting and property loans and tax valuations that work with grand juries.

    So just STOP IT :police:

The grand jury was convened for 6 months and failed to indict anyone. That means that there is pretty much zero evidence.

It's the prosecutor's job to explain what law was broken and how that law was broken, then produce evidence proving that the law was broken.

And the lead prosecutors resigned weeks ago, no witnesses have been called for months and READ THE OP. This is nothing new it has been expected.

Why do you keep assuming there is something on which to get him. This was an intensive two year investigation by special prosecutors specifically to get him on what she wants to get him on. Are you saying they were incompetent of like Alwayssa that the grand jury was just to stupid to get it?

You too simply assume there are crimes, why do you continue to asset something for which not only you have no evidence but has never been even charged after multiple investigations and impeachments.

Why are you so hurt that he wasn't indicted? If he didn't commit a crime he shouldn't be indicted. Why would you want to live in a country where political opponents are targeted by the government?

True, but you still can't lead a horse to water. You may want to think about the first Holy Land Foundation Trial in which the jury acquitted the organization of all the payroll charges and were deadlocked on the financial transactions. In the second trial, the prosecution made a much simpler argument and eventually got the conviction on a majority of the charges.

The point is that the prosecution did all the explaining at trial and yet the jury didn't see it that way.

That's true, but that does not mean the investigation will stop. On the contrary, I would surmise that the investigation will be more quiet, gathering evidence through subpoenas and other means before the next grand jury convenes in a year or two.
