So he is in the region affected by one of the problems you listed.

You may not like how he's handling it, but you can't say he's MIA as you seem to be trying to suggest.

You aren't going to convince me that the parties aren't the problem, but you are welcome to keep going.

What I really like about politics is it is really complicated.

From the politician's perspective, parties might have some use like issuing invites to an afternoon tea party for the new Republican members of Congress.
From the voter's perspective, it might make things easier especially if they always vote for the same party, but if they are that lazy I don't think they should vote at all.
It might also help organize politicians to hammer out some kind of consensus on issues.

What I've noticed though is that parties facilitate prejudice.

For example right now despite the multitude of things Biden has gotten wrong, somehow he still has supporters.

Biden had the support of the environmentalists, guess what he has made worse? The environment.

And the economy: previous Presidents have run up debts and caused inflation and increased the National Debt - or in the case of Clinton - the Current Account Deficit.

Each one has subsidized their folly from the public purse (except Carter who was hit by OPEC).

But Joe drove the bus off the cliff. Despite the end of COVID in 2021, the federal government spent 6.82 trillion.

In 2021, the government collected $4.05 trillion in revenue.

More debt, more printing money, more inflation, why?

The data shows Trump spent even more, under the guise of COVID relief, including that stupid CARES Act.

    We don't need him either.

And CARIES Act was passed by all 96 present in Senate, and by all but about 5 in Congress.

    We need someone new.

The Democrats are sunk because of the reality of politics.

There is global inflation and the party in charge will be held accountable.

I find that remarkably inaccurate and actually hilarious
First the left cried that Trump wasn't taking the virus seriously because he didn't want to shut down the country
And here you are claiming it was Trump who shut down the country.
    Amazing

I run in to that "my mind's made up, don't confuse me with the facts" attitude all the time on this board. It's unfortunate.

    Yea it's frustrating isn't it.

Sometimes people do already have enough of the facts though.

You were only presenting one side of the facts, because you were trying to persuade. I have came to my conclusion years ago after considering way more facts that you have cherry picked hoping to win a thread on the internet.

    Facts don't have sides. 2+2 always = 4.

yea, your cool little reply doesn’t have anything to do with the discussion.

I don’t mind if you declare yourself the winner if the thread.

The military intervention in Ukraine was the finest strategy to shift blame and make economic suffering be virtuous. Of course it is only adding a bit more to the hurt, but that is not the important issue. The important issue is to be able to blame all the high prices on that. Since there's nothing reasonable that could have been done to prevent it.

As to with the coronavirus shutdown of businesses... Make people think the entirety of that was necessary, and so it couldn't be helped.
Great way not to have to accept any blame.

It's the same strategy we see constantly being used in this forum, constant distractions and deflects.

Democrats have written on this forum that if Donald Trump was in charge we would be in World War 3 already.

But somehow it was after Biden promoted chaos at the Southern border, monkied about with fiscal policy, and finally got to a very long phone call to Zelensky evidently offering him support, that the war started.

Donald Trump actually got into a lot of trouble - articles of impeachment were raised against him - for freezing weapons shipments to Ukraine.

Trump was opposing the war and Biden was promoting it.

As for idle talk, it was Biden who let slip the phrase about producing 'regime change in Russia'.
