House Dems Reject Resolution Condemning Attacks on Churches, Anti-abortion Groups

House Democrats on Friday rejected a resolution condemning recent attacks on churches, anti-abortion centers and groups, The Daily Wire reports.

House Resolution 1233, introduced by Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., called on the Biden administration to ''use all appropriate law enforcement authorities to uphold public safety and protect the rights of Pro-Life facilities, groups and churches.''

The resolution noted that "since the May 2, 2022 leak of the Supreme Court's draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, individuals professing anti-life views have targeted, destroyed, or vandalized numerous pro-life facilities, groups, and even churches to further their radical cause."

''Ever since the Dobbs decision, crisis pregnancy centers have been subjected to a nationwide spate of violence and vandalism, that has been met with silence from President Biden and Democrats,'' Johnson tweeted. ''Enough is enough.''…

It is as if the democrats want to encourage attacks on crisis pregnancy centers and churches. They show their true intentions by not passing the resolution. There should be law enforcement protecting targets of domestic terrorism by groups like Janes Revenge.

 

It’s time for democrats to enforce the law and stop aiding and abetting domestic terrorism upon Supreme Court justices, their homes, churches, and places that suport mothers and their babies.

 

I have an idea, let’s have countless televised hearings on a protest where not much happened.

 

And they will never hold hearings on vandalism, arson, and intimidation done by their allies to their opposition

 

Where's the resolution to protect abortion clinics against violence or have those stories been buried by the MSM?

 

If you want to talk about that create your own thread. There are plenty of laws to deal with that and the media doesn’t bury that kind of story in the rare instances that occurs. Personally I condemn all violence and property damage by all sides on a heated issue including this one.

Don't pregnancy crisis centers classify themselves as reproductive centers? They would be protected by this law, so this resolution would be moot.

We learned that during the riots. Of course Black lives matter, but BLM is a disaster. "BLM was never about helping actual black people, or about promoting justice or equality. So to me, it look like the arsons are being handled locally and federally as the law stipulates. These reproductive health centers are already protected by law, and anyone who blocks access to individuals seeking to receive care will be arrested. What politicians are seeking however is virtue signalling to say leftists and activists are so bad we need to make another law that is already on the books.

 

That's probably just lip service by the Feds.

 

So this resolution will give FBI more ability to do lip service?
