    Idealistic at best.

There are people that believe pedophilia is acceptable. Are you willing to allow their viewpoints in Kindergarten too since they recieve taxpayer dollars from these people?

Careful here, you might turn out to be a bigot by your own definition.

99% don’t align with it though. And it isn't .8% of the nation either

7.1% identify as LGBT in this country [source]
71% of the population agree with same sex marriage [source]
70% of the population believe trans people should have equal rights free of discrimination [source]

You are absolutely right that some traditional values are not bad things — but they must stand on their own today. Just because something is old doesn’t mean it is correct.

Pedophilia has an injured party and children cannot consent to sexual activity

You have no idea what the word bigotry means if you believe it means we have to support great harm. That you are using just a ludicrous example shows what the agenda is here. You should check on your own priests that your dollars are funding before you do that again.

And you think it’s scientifically possible for us to gain 2% in 2 years? It was 5% in 2020? Sorry. There is no biological explanation. There is only a social explanation, especially when you can track patterns of where it’s concentrated. It’s certainly not natural in any scenario.

Just because something is new and hip, doesn’t mean it’s correct either.

There is nothing wrong with being gay, but there is nothing logical about the explosion in those identifying as LGBT.

Most studies that use arousal as the metric and not personal identification have put the number of gay / bisexual men at around 10%. That has been a number that was around even when homosexuality was criminalized.

What we are likely seeing is that as it is normalized more people no longer seek to hide their true nature. I think we will see it spike above 10% and then slowly level to around the 10% margin as it becomes a non-issue.

Homosexuality is also completely natural having been observed in hundreds of species and throughout all cultures.

Basic Homosexuality is natural, but it’s not a biologically sustainable trait obviously. 1/10 is insanely large and makes no biological sense to nature since any disincentive to procreation is eliminated in every other animal species. Non binary, trans and the rest aren’t growing out of sudden “acceptance”. It’s social. Classroom of kids, or groups of teen girls don’t all come out as LGBT due to anything natural. Sorry. Not scientifically possible unless the LGBT community wants to admit there is a social element to being gay, and that blows a giant hole on the “naturally occurring” argument. It is very natural and still rare.

I’ve mentioned this before, but my preteen daughter came out as pan sexual in 2020 after only a couple months interaction with a similar aged individual we weren’t aware of. She showed zero signs of coming out before then. Once that contact was cut off, she is now “normal” and shows every indication she is ordinary straight girl, admitting to the grooming that happened. This individual was a disturbed and cunning SOB, possibly just confused herself or real and just looking for someone else to unload her baggage on. Hard to say. So I have first hand knowledge and experience with the sinister nature of this “growth” in acceptance. It’s VERY social and these people are preying on teen girls where most of the unprecedented growth is coming from.

This is NOT anecdotal. This is a true story and it’s not isolated. The creepy part it’s not just strangers/friends reaching out and preying on impressionable young people like my example. It’s teachers doing it too which is really messed up.

I thought we were discussing gender identity here.

I'm part of that 71%. I also support people to be trans.

What I ma not ok with is forcing me to comply with, or be subjected to nonstop indoctrination about the issue.

It's never enough that people are afforded the freedom to do as they please, they want to push that agenda down others throat.

I dont look for acceptance in sexual preferences. Why do so many in the LGBTQ community.

You do you, I'll do me. Leave it at that.

    Discrimination perpetrated by who?

If your talking about the general public and protecting them from hate or ridicule, no I don't agree with that.

Further, if they didn't announce their preferences or their biological gender, would anybody know?

Maybe, just maybe, there is a whole group of people that go out of their way to make sure everybody knows their preferences and identity as a means of claiming victimization?

    I agree to that.

    Nice try. I'm agnostic.

    Back to the point.

There are limits to everything. There are certainly people who hold values and principals you don't agree with. Per your post, those people should get an opportunity to normalize their position and indoctrinate children because they pay taxes?

This is why I'm largely opposed to public education administered by government. Because government forces taxation and participation in the education system, they suddenly assume they inherited authority to dictate curriculum to other people's kids.

A centralized government mentality that all people, that all children, are part of the collective and subject to others authority. That's a dangerous place. All those kids have parents tasked with the responsibility of raising them in the fashion THEY see fit. Their authority should always Trump beaurecrats.

I will have to disagree here — I do understand the sentiment that parents should be the ultimate authority but unfortunately there is too much neglect and personal bias (plus the new addition of denying advancement and science in favor of belief and ideology).

We need a national curriculum that is developed by educators and professionals in their fields to propel our society forward. I agree bureaucrats and politicians need to have little input. Allowing the local parents to set the curriculum will do nothing but propagate the ideology of those individuals.

Our schools should teach educational excellence, tolerance, and the latest knowledge that is available along with allowing children to be children. They should be taught to use independent analysis to come to their own conclusions and not pushed to extremism.

At least 40% of the country has no interest in academic excellence. That means teaching science and math and facts is precisely that which they reject.

That is one of many reasons why I am just counting down the days until the West Coast Nation secedes.

We can't allow the red states to drag the rest of us down to their level.

Precisely, you don't like the way your children are being educated, pull them from the public schools and home school them. This way you can instill them with the values that are important to you.

I just can't get my around what gives you or anybody else the authority over another human.

This is the part of collectivism where the cards start to collapse in my opinion.

I'm just trying to understand what gives you that power.

I am not asking for any power. I have the intellectual fortitude to realize I have no idea what is best for our future generations to thrive — I think it should be left to experts in numerous fields to design such a curriculum.

As par, there is a lot more to what you ask ;)

Parents hardly influence this one way or another.. It's sexuality that parents should be offer advice!

Not some agenda driven freak paid to prepare children for the next level of curriculum. But I do understand from most open forum DNC conversation that sexual confusion about gender is todays top priority in social media and our schools curriculum..

And you are entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine. I don’t think education should be a continuation of the personal bias of the individual but rather a fact based curriculum based on the most current information available.

I can understand your perspective however.

They don't want tolerance. They want us to capitulate to their point of view as if it's the "standard" by which everyone (with the same equal (some are "more equal" though) rights) lives.

I didn't even know "education" was a dirty word until I joined pf. /smdh

I don't understand the uproar about this because our whole society is based on sexualizing people.

How many of us have heard adults tell kids that they would be a cute couple or refer to their own kid as another kids' boyfriend or girlfriend?

Why in the hell are adults okay with this BS?

    jonbenetramseycaseupdate-220506-gt.-581x405.jpg

Why did people laugh and think it was okay when former POTUS Trump made disparaging comments about women, including Cruz' wife?

Why are women still put on pedestals for being physically attractive instead of the qualities that we admire men for having?

Why are women that aren't willing to exchange sex for a job or promotion or raise often left behind in favor of those that do and will?

I SPECIFICALLY asked my in-laws not to give our daughter bikini swimsuits. My former MIL bought her 7. I donated them all and ended up having to buy our TODDLER a one piece swimsuit online because NONE were any of the 8-10 stores we went to. If my daughter wants to wear a bikini when she's old enough to buy her own clothing, that's fine. Nobody and NO retailer is going to dictate what I should be putting on my child by making products unavailable.

So, I don't believe a word about this OP being about "grooming" (which they constantly misuse) or anybody has a concern about sexualizing children, especially girls. Our everyday lives prove that is absolutely false.

Either that or organize and change the way your children are being educated. That is happening today.

It hasn’t however. We have politicians and bureaucrats making the laws that impact learning and it is becoming more and more partisan each year.

We no longer live in the 1900’s — other nations are using best practices to educate their students, if we continue to act like nothing has changed we will continue to fall further behind
