I think you are missing the connection between "cognitive impairment," and personal priorities. And I say this, not just as an indictment of the foolishness of those who support anti-democratic law- negators (who would overturn election results), but of all the young people who are, thus far, in early voting, not showing up at the polls, in significant numbers. This will be a significant underlying factor, in the Democrats' undoing, in these midterms.

This lack of motivation, to support democracy, makes me afraid that former police officer, injured in the J6 assault, Michael Fanone, is right: things are going to need, it seems, to get much worse, before they get better.
