Democracy is much much more than voting.

Unfortunately, that is EXACTLY what is happening. Both sides want to use democracy to take the rights of the minority away through the democratic process.

I've seen no real examples. Meanwhile, the Trump faction of the GOP is almost entirely devoted to it. No one has done more in modern history to try to overthrow democracy than the Trump faction. It isn't remotely close.

    Bull ****

And, unlike the Trumpists, they didn't use that to try to steal the election. No one has done more to try to reverse the results of a US election than Trump and his most corrupt followers.

There are examples all over the place. Just for starters we can talk about Dems vaccine mandates where you have to show your papers to enter places or stay home and even get fired from your job for not following Democrat mandates.

What vaccine mandates? The government never required everyone to get a vaccine. And a private business can fire you. That isn't "Democrat mandate." That's private property rights. I'm sorry you hate private property rights, but it has nothing to do with democracy. Meanwhile, ACTUALLY TRYING TO OVERTHROW A ****ING ELECTION is an attack on democracy. You are grasping at imaginary straws.

Their so-called "fair recount" in Florida was limited to the deepest blue part of the state in the Miami-Dade area. It was the area where the Democrats could mine the most votes possible. If the vote was that close for the whole state, why wasn't the whole state recounted?

After the Supreme Court finally ended the recounts, so that a President could be elected, one of YOUR PAPERS, The New York Times, "the paper of record" with "All the news that fit to print" conducted their own recount. Their margin for Bush was higher than the official margin.

As 2004, I attended an American Political Items Collectors (APIC) convention in mid 2005. A deep blue Democrat labor official and his wife, who deals and collects political buttons in his spare time, spent the whole convention complaining about Kerry had been cheated in Ohio. He was really nasty about it to the point where he told people to get away from his sales area at the convention if they didn't agree with him.

Today they call such folks "election deniers," but I guess if you are Democrat, it's not possible to be an "election denier." You are truth teller, like Stacy Abrams, who is also an "election denier."

So tell democrats to stop. Tell them to stop saying stupid shyte like half the nation is dangerous... I know.. dare to dream. What you're really complaining about is that all the authoritarian shyte democrats implemented can be removed. And now,? Cry away. You know who destroys democracy? Authoritarian democrats who won't tolerate democracy. All americans 18 and over can vote. unless they are i n jail, you know because they are criminals.... And even then democrats want to them to vote, cause they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for votes these days.

Bush had called for selective recounts as well. So did Trump. It happens in pretty much every election. Recounts, even selective ones, aren't "stealing" anything.

NYT isn't one of "my" papers, and they have no access to ballots. They can't do their own recount.

    And?

Abrams wanted more votes counted. Votes that had been disqualified. The court decided against her. At no point in time did she try to "steal" the election. Trump, however, did exactly that.

Any time I see the phrase “the left think” I know that a strawman is being built - usually constructed from rubbish spewed by the likes of Tucker Carlson and Faux

Curious, does Tucker speak of Australia often? Honesty, do any of the popular U.S. news outlets speak much of Australia ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree. Democrats shouldn't be doing that. In fact, they are telling the big lie that if you vote Republican Tuesday, you are voting to end democracy.

The orders came down from above. It's absolutely hilarious how you now deny democrats issued mask and vaccine mandates and expected businesses to follow them.

OK since that is not happening do you believe if the Republicans win tomorrow that that is the end of "democracy"? Are there ANY reports of people not being able to vote anywhere?

Where aren't they as long as they properly register and properly cast their ballots?

Who is doing that and where?

Of course you do not every free American qualifies to vote and you have to register to be eligible and you have to, at least in the smart states, show an ID to be eligible. There is no right to vote, there is a right to be treated equally under voting law.

Please remind me again how many countries in the last... lets say 50 years the USA has intervened in to 'spread democracy' ? Maybe some other country needs to intervene with the USA as its starting to sound unfair

Businesses are free to make their own choices on this. It has nothing to do with "overthrowing democracy." It's, well, sad that you think private property rights and democracy are incompatible . . . and that you are incapable of discussing ACTUAL attempts to overthrow democracy . . . like what Trump tried.
