We are no where near EU.
We produce as much energy(oil/NG) as we consume, or very close. In fact, we are net exporter of Oil refined products.

Kinda the same happening in Or? Except and independent is taking votes away from a D.
That is what we need more of in America, not less.
We need to rid 2 party candidates as the only viable options.

We are one of the largest countries in the world. 330M people. Extremely diverse.
There's no way 2 corrupt parties can represent all of that.

And they don't. They represent the largest bribes(donors) to their campaign coffers.

And said exporting is resulting in current energy losses right now. Right now, we need to find ways to get back to a surplus of energy in order to rebuild our economy post-covid.

Well, the RP, as opposed to Trump, generally runs exclusively by screaming 'DP SUCKS!' That is often enough for them to just state the obvious. The reverse 'RP SUCKS often works for the DP. I mean at least they both tell the truth. ;-)

Offering positive change that would deliver a tangible benefit to the productive working class would probably work better, but I guess they took the House -- maybe that is all the RP party bosses really wanted.

OTOH, I saw Fetterman facing ridicule from the RP after he called clumsily for something like 'willful work" (paid enough to make them want to work?), and opposing "Made In China".
He seemed sincere -- and I found it hard to dismiss him as an unviable candidate.

can't have it both ways, either spending leads to inflation or it doesn't

that said, I believe inflation is caused by shortages overseas, droughts, bird flu, covid, etc...... it's going to get worse

    stock up on canned food

I agree, we need to tax corps that outsource our jobs and foreign imports where needed - we also need to restrict exports where and when needed... like oil right now - America first

You're right, there isn't. Except right now, all it does is allow for funneling of the candidate who people don't want to win, to win. In the Alaska race, they clearly prefer a Republican representative(if you presume all of Palin or her opponent's voters to vote for the other, if the choice weren't available) but because the Repubs are running against each other, it's smooth sailing for the democrat. In many ways, this disenfranchises them even more.

Can you just imagine the fraud claims there would be if we didn't have imperfect human beings hand counting millions of ballots?

For that to happen, Biden needs to either offer the carrot or the stick to our domestic oil companies who refuse to play ball or listen to him since he villified them since day 1. But instead...the dipshit went hat in hand to SA. Failed. Went hat in hand to Venzualia...failed. And is down to dumping our reserves on the open market...but uhhh...those are finite so not sure what the plan is once that well is dry?

I'd be ok if he put a price cap in on domestic oil in an effort to get them to drill baby drill, but then Biden needs to help support them the ability to do that.

Instead all I'm ready is green energy **** which isn't going to cut it in the short to mid term. We are ****ed.

Printing money is different than spending. What congress did in 2019-2020 was facilitate the printing of money. BTW, what the Federal Reserve did in 2019-2020 was artificially keep Prime Interest Rates low to prevent a more catastrophic inflation due to the effects of free market capitalism...The fed prevented free market capitalism???What else is new? Does what the fed did bother you?

But you were wrong. The cheating party didn't cheat enough yet, to over come real Americans voting for who they want.
And it looks like, the cheating party will have to work harder to cheat in 2024.

Of course, because mail in ballots can't be opened in most all red states until election day. So they get counted last. As they have to be opened, stacked, and run through the count. So, they are last to be counted,
And R's don't like to vote by mail.

How about no body's cheating? Even Oz conceded his race. So the so-called election denier theory can be put in the same basket as the flat earth theory. The reality is, both sides are unhappy with each other and with the governance that comes from both sides.

    I concur.
At this stage of America, a divided gov't is the only gov't that works for All America.

We will never get adults back in DC. The 2 party, big money bribe system pretty much insures that.

I'll bet the roles used to mail out ballots to voters in Ohio came from state voters' roles and I know from first-hand experience how inaccurate state voter roles can be.

Who's gonna step up for democracy? Not you. BTW, did you know the only democracy in our government is in the voting??

The sooner he announces, the faster we can get rid of MAGA. IMO.

People have tired on incessant whining(winning by his mouth), lying, and claims of fraud with no proof.

Is democracy important or not? Those who screech the most about democracy care the least about democracy (Pelosi, Liz Cheney, for examples).

Most Americans refer to it as, free choice.
    Rather than politicians choice.

But the real voters that determine outcomes are those that don't prefer either D or R.
They are the independents of the country. Since we tip the scales to either D or R, because there's no real other choice. I myself will vote for split gov't most every time.
