For one thing, said documents wouldn't even exist yet. So he'd be issuing a request for something that's technically nonexistent(though obviously will be existent in the future.). To answer directly, if a democrat were to be appointed to an oversight chair and ask for the documents in advance of his appointment I'd be for that.

Literally, this formality wastes paper and therefore contributes to global warming/climate change, etc.

So you, now, admit the GOP members were wrong.

Two wrongs don't make right, but treating people as you've been treated is only fair.

Jordan's reputation and career in Congress is built on belligerence, defiance and rude behavior. I think it would be poetic justice for him to face his own methods as he tries to attack President Joe and his administration.

I’m admitting no such thing. I’m pointing out that if you justify the Democrats ignoring the Republican request because they ignored the Democrats request you are committing the logical fallacy.

So then, in your opinion, the Biden Administration is perfectly withing it's rights to be non-cooperative with GOP committees. 8)

They are correct as it relates to the rules requesting documents. But it obviously serves no purpose but political showmanship. When Jordan and Comer are committee chairs what then? More resistance?

Yes, I believe it's the duty of President Biden's Administration to resit the Republicans with all legal means available to them. The tRumpublicans have been gaming the system since the day he declared his candidacy, and before; why should Democrats just roll over for the Republicans when they have made it so obvious they are going to do everything in "THEIR" power to get "EVEN" for perceived offenses by Democrats.

It's ludicrous for the GOP to think Democrats should, now, play nice when they've done everything but; AND are clearly on a get even mission whether they have legitimate "cause" or not.

It's the Republicans stated goal to continue to obstruct every chance they get over the next two years. There is no reason the Democrats should help them.

The Attorney General Eric Holder of the United States has been held in contempt of Congress, both civil and criminal. For the first time in our nation’s 236 year history, the top law enforcement officer of this country has seen fit to arrogantly ignore the mandates of Congress.

You stupid young people think the world started with you.

One of the things has changed in Senate , Democrats no longer need GOP support to open investigation. With 51 majority Democrat can open any investigation they want.

Every time Jim Jordan open a ridiculous investigation in the House, Senate Democrats should start a investigation about Trump , Trump family, Ivanka Trump’s business in China, Ron DeSantis misuse of money flying undocumented immigrant from TX and more and more. They can start another JAN 6 investigation and put Liz Cheney in charge.

Utterly false. He did not "just ignore" it. He contested its validity in court (see Trump sues January 6 committee to block subpoena for testimony and documents | CNN). You may not like that he did that, but it was a perfectly-proper and lawful thing to do in response to a subpoena of questionable legality, and you should at a minimum, be honest in your posts about what he did and did not do. Furthermore, I suspect it was withdrawn, at least in part, because the committee knew that it was not going to pass legal muster and did not want to face a humiliating court defeat on the eve of its end.

    I’m fine with this.
Typically due to lack of bipartisanship, each side is forced to start over with a clean slate. There are certainty some bipartisan issues in committees that are passed on, along with keeping reelected democrats with expertise** in place on the committees. I don’t see the beef here, beyond lack of insights of how congress works. The FF’s designed the House to be partisan, and the Senate to be the “saucer in which the hot coffee cools”.

** Expertise = capable staff. They go through the audio, their notes and transcripts and do all the work producing (non partisan summaries) summaries for their illiterate bosses.

I'm certain the Biden administration will not be 100% stonewalling... I expect them to mostly comply with even these turd muffins.

But I also expect them to cross the line with their strange personal animosity towards the man, and he'll pick a fight at some point at the worst of it...

I have no problem doing unto others as they do unto me.

The Democrats had almost no luck overcoming tRumpublican resistance. I think it's time to give the tRumpublicans and equal opportunity; maybe the Democrats will learn something.

I'd be interested to know how your viewpoint makes Democrats any better than Republicans.

And most Americans will continue to ignore and not care about the Democrats' ridiculous obsession with and investigations of a past president that they left behind two years ago.

Which brings us to the fly in your ointment - Quid Pro Quo Joe and the corrupt and incompetent people around him are currently in power.

2023 is going to be a fun year, and since Democrats are so fond of investigations they should enjoy what Republicans have in store for them. I know I will.

It WILL be fun. They should take the position of "Bartelby the Scrivener" and reply with a firm "I prefer not" whenever the GOP asks for their compliance; especially when it comes to Jordan.

It seems like most Americans cared about Democrat's investigation, that is why, when America had $4 Gas price and 8% inflation, Americans still didn’t think Republican will do better. 2022 Midterm election result prove America prefer democracy over GOP.

Yet, the Democrats' pathological obsession with Trump and their silly investigations never registered on the list of issues that were most important to most Americans.

What the Dems got right were their early voting campaigns and fear mongering the abortion issue. This enabled them to rally the base enough to lose only one chamber of Congress in the midterms.

    LOL!!!

Well, that explains why Democrats lost the House.
