She also pointed to the rise in fentanyl deaths across the country since Biden took office, saying: 'My children died about six months before he became president.

'There have been failed policies by many administrations for far too long, ever since there was a surge in drug deaths due to fentanyl.

'This has been a problem for a long time.

'[But] what about the 22% increase in fentanyl deaths since you became president? That represents tens of thousands of US citizens who died under your watch, an increase in tens of thousands. That represents double that number of the parents who are suffering.

'You're going to keep laughing? About those who did die under your watch? Do we have to bring them in so you can look them in the eyes and laugh?

'What is wrong with you? This is unacceptable. Our president needs to apologize to me, and he needs to be held accountable.' …

Biden made a very poor choice to do what he did. He’s supposedly Mr. Empathy yet he acted like the arrogant ass that he is. There was no excuse for what he did and said.

 

I’m glad that multiple news services reported her response to what he did and said. He needs to abjectly apologize

 

He should probably apologize, but he was obviously laughing at MTG and not the son killed by the Trump admin policies.

 

What policies were those?

 

While I cannot understand the grief of this mother, not having experienced anything close to it myself, she sure did not seem bothered by Taylor Greene misplacing the blame for her sons deaths.

 

What should be obvious to all, is that the Democrat party does not care about the safety of Americans. They want to spend Billions in Ukraine protecting their border but don't give a flying [expletive] about cartels bring illegals drugs into America that kill Americans.

And please, no Trump whataboutism. After the security theater of Trump rushing National Guard troops to the SW border before a midterm, but keeping them 100 miles from the border with unloaded guns, I don't see Trump as being concerned about the border. It was just an issue for him, a former NY Democrat, to run on.

 

Maybe that's because MTG had sympathy for her. Biden showed none.

The claim is that his border policy is increasing the amount of deaths like the woman testified to. Her point was that it's high time it stops. How did Biden respond? He took a political shot at MTG. Mistaken as MTG was about his blame for their deaths he still refuses to acknowledge he can change his policies to help stop the flow of fentanyl across our borders. He could have shown some sympathy for the woman by saying even though Trump failed to protect them he would take a stronger stance against what's happening at the border so others might be spared her pain.

 

Be specific. And then elaborate on what Biden did to get rid of those policies to stop the flow.

There is absolutely no basis for this laughably absurd presumption. Fentanyl deaths continue to skyrocket in the US. It keeps getting worse. What we are doing is not working. The claim that it "seems to be working" is incredibly silly.
