    Like all but 3 nations it is a privilege that has to be earned.
    USA, Mexico and Guatemala if anyone is wondering.

    It's always been an individual right in the US. I'm not concerned with how other countries treat their citizens.

    This sort of cartoon shows what I have been saying for decades, The left wing anti gun movement hates the NRA and wants to use laws to punish it. Violent armed criminals are not the focus of leftwing gun control schemes

    The likes of Europe is a gun free zone, you only take your guns to gun ranges, your own land, and game shoots. Yet it's gun statistics are a tiny fraction of America's.

    Why is that?

    Indeed. THAT you CAN predict. a knee jerk reaction that usually follows a mass shooting. And it is probably because they are not wiling to look at the options that might help.
    Guns will not be banned , so folks can relax. The family of the last shooter had gone to the police about the shooters tendency for violence before the mass sooting.
    So again.......this person fell through the cracks and was a victim of a lousy system. .If the cops would not deal with it or could not.....they could /should have referred the family to mental health care. The signs for major trouble were there. He should never had weapons of any kind. These troubled folks should be monitored by mental health teams. He went off his meds and no one noticed or cared. Poor mental health care is a stain on this country.
    Weapons will not go away. So other facilities have to sharpen up . He was a danger to himself and others.........and no one listened. The main concern is gun ownership and focusing on that. Not the human componant.

    Why do you think that is the case ?? Fear of gun bans seems to produce this extreme reaction. Does it change anything?? Does it actually help to arm oneself to the teeth in fear of gun bans???

    There would be a violent (with guns) revolt if anyone tried to ban the guns.

    It is an unrealistic fear.
