Got anything REMOTELY credible to substantiate that ALLEGATION?

Awhile ago I needed a haircut… my barbershop was open… but the barber was facing charges for keeping the doors open. The good old days of Covid shutdowns, cough

I got bad news for Rand Paul. What was right for the 19th century frontiersman isn't necessarily right for today's society.

When you pay your taxes, that money, at that juncture, belongs to the government.

What the government does with the money will have a lot to do with policies set by congress.

    Congress is elected.

So, ultimately, it's the electorate who determine how money is spent.

If if Congress wants to help some folks, that is the will of the people.

    It's called 'democracy'.

    FYI, libertarians have no caucus.

There's probably a reason for that.

In CA, you can go up to 2 years of college for very little money. I'd support a national version of that idea.
In areas where there is a shortage of labor, it might be a good idea. In CA, we have the ROP. A friend of mine got his Microsoft certs via the Regional Occupation Program, and is now making $100k per year, and pays more in taxes than he ever did, before. So, from a taxpayer standpoint, it's money well invested, better than welfare because there is a ROI.
Ahh, the old slippery slope logical fallacy. I suggest a thorough study of the Carl Sagan Baloney Detection Kit.

The government has run budget deficits since 2001. It gets added to the deficit as it is simply less future revenue. No more, no less. It operates no different than a tax cut.

That doesn't just exist in Cali. Even Texas has that. There is enough socialism to go around. We needn't ask for more.

And the slippery slope isn't a fallacy. It has its roots in precedence setting and pattern recognition.

So no adults should be held responsible for their decisions?

How cheap is community college in TX?

this should be a national program.

It is a fallacy. Study the Carl Sagan Baloney Detection Kit.

    Totally weird response!

I wish I knew what triggered you to go off on this tangent, but no doubt I'll stumble across it again.

Too bad their education didn’t teach them to be responsible for their decisions and actions.

A lot of colleges are sitting on piles of cash, why don't they underwrite the student loans so they have some skin in the game?

Clock is ticking – unfortunately you have no interest to accept it.

Majority Americans reject conservative ideas. Past 32 years only one-time majority American voted for a Republican (2004). Majority immigrants, Hispanic, African-American, young generation, majority collage graduated American despise conservative ideology. Only people who still subscribes to conservative ideas are White older American. 20 years from now , there will not be enough of them alive to send conservative in WH. 30 years from now there will not be enough of them to lead the congress.

Sadly , you don’t get that .. and you wonder what triggered me .. absolutely nothing – Tik tok .. tik tok! Clock is running out for conservative!

Right and none of that has anything to do with student loans, so why you are going off on this weird detour?

    What triggered you?

So any business that wanted to stay open could without consequence?

Just want to be clear of your claim first.

    https://abcnews.go.com/Health/states-shut-essential-businesses-map/story?id=69770806

Maybe this is what you're looking for. Clearly you think you have some technical argument that proves me wrong. I'm not wrong but I look forward to what technicality you wanna try to throw out.

Maybe you'd like links to people being arrested for trying to open their business during the mandated shut downs? Would that suffice?

Thank you for proving my point.

Every single gov't expense is billed to the taxpayer. You can spin it however you want.

I dont need to study that, I'm aware of the claim and the reasoning behind it. It is incorrect.

I place the blame on their parents and a government who doesn't hold adults accountable for their decisions.

Dr. Fauci's extreme Covid-19 protocols. Were you just born yesterday? K-12 schools were shut down and the kids were expected to learn a new video conferencing application while trying to learn new assignments. As a baby boomer our parents allowed their children to be exposed to viruses. Fauci completely ignored the science when it came to children.

    DESPERATION content above duly noted.

DECADES worth of student LOANS were "NECESSARY" "because govt forced businesses to shut down" during the 2020 PANDEMIC?

I do NOT even want to KNOW the CONSPIRACY rabbit holes that SPECIOUS "connection" ORIGINATED from.

The PANDEMIC was a ONE TIME event, student loans have accumulated for DECADES prior to that EVENT.

If as an 18yr old...an ADULT, you willingly AGREED to pay 6 digits for a degree in Art History, Communications or Philosophy, you DESERVE it. Seriously, you DESERVE it as a lesson in Adulting. I'm sorry your parents failed YOU in teaching basic logic simple economics. Its not anyone elses fault. YOU screwed up. YOU thought it was a smart idea investing yourself in a mostly useless degree. YOU decided to overpay at a private school when you could go to a Community College and get the same degree for a whole lot less. YOU didn't do well enough in school to be eligible for any scholarships that could help you. The fault is YOURS and YOURS alone. Its pathetic Democrats have no other recourse than to buy votes.
